Rider Swap - Change of Heart?

My husband and I will be visiting Disney in Summer 2021 with our 3 kids - ages 15, 13, and 5. Our 5 year old has been watching park videos and is nervous about some of the rides although she is tall enough for everything at Disney except Rockin Roller Coaster. I know we can use Rider Swap but what happens if she changes her mind after seeing her one of her brothers ride? Would I be able to bring her with me using our Rider Swap pass or would that mean waiting in StandBy? I don't want to cheat the system - I just don't want to double the time we spend in line.

Just a note:
There is no assurance that a guest who is tall enough to ride will be issued at Rider Swap pass for members of that party.

My bet is a cast member will allow it if you ask. (To reference the above comment, we’ve never been denied a rider swap even if the kids were tall enough.) Normally they scan your band if you are waiting with her and the bands of her brothers so they can ride again, then you have to scan in through the Fast Pass queues when it’s your turn. You could switch her band with her brother to get her in, but he will have to sit out the second time. I think if you explained it they would add the fast pass to her band just in case though. But one adult will have to sit out the second time for sure.

Instead of rider swap passes for guests who are tall enough to ride, some attractions have everyone go through the line together. Then at the boarding area the non-riding child and adult go to a designated area to wait for the riders to finish and meet them. Then the riders wait with the child while the adult rides.

That was the process for us at RnR a few years ago - DS and our grandson who was tall enough but afraid to ride went through the chicken exit and met us just beyond the unloading dock. DS had to ride alone, though - they didn’t allow anyone to ride with him. I don’t know whether they would have allowed our grandson to ride with DS if he had changed his mind by then!

ETA Our grandson did change his mind later that day after talking to his older brother. I was thankful to get another set of FPs for the whole family later that trip!

On our recent visits to MK & HS during Covid, they were not letting Rider Swap guests enter the attraction to wait. There was a cast member at the FastPass+ entrance who would scan the MBs of the people who would be waiting so they could return and enter the FP+ entrance later. The guests riding first were directed to the back of the standby line to wait through the regular line. If the Rider Swap guests wanted to go in as soon as the first group got out, they waited near the attraction exit. We were asked to return within an hour if we'd rather do something else with our toddler grandson instead of waiting around outside the ride. This was a good use of the FP+ queue since they're not currently offering FP+ option. We used these Rider Swap waits for rest room breaks, coffee, repeat IASW rides, etc.
