Rider swap and fast pass

Hi all - I was wondering how does Rider Swap work with Fast Pass?

my kids are too small to go on the bigger rides but my husband and I would like to do that - we had planned on utilizing the Rider Swap but can that be done with Fast Pass?

And if so does anyone know how it works?

You can get a FP for you and then ask for a rider swap pass for DH. Or you can get 2 FP and not even worry about rider swap. With rider swap you all go up to the attendent let them know he gives the first rider the swap pass and then when that rider gets off s/he gives the other rider the pass.

OOOh maybe I will do it with one FP because then I could pick a ride and DH could pick a ride - the kids aren't even 40 inches so most of our fast passes are goin gfor the non-thrill rides but it would be nice if we could get on a ride or two without having to wait forever

This is what we do. One of you goes and gets a FP. When it is time to return for the FP, all of you go to the attendant and ask for a rider switch. First person rides then you have the rider switch ticket for later. I would not pull two FPs because with you both may not be able to ride in the hour window and Disney now enforces FP return times.

Can anyone confirm if this method (only 1 person with FP, then rider swap for the other) works with Fast Pass +/magic bands? We have our selections set up to do this, but don't want the rider swap person to get turned away due to not having a Fast Pass + reservation also. If anyone has tried this with FP+ and can confirm, please let me know. Thanks!

Several people have reported doing it with FP+ too. The second rider only needs the swap pass to use the FP lane. And the first rider goes using the FP+.

So glad I found this post!
I have booked all my FP+ and need to use rider swap, I was worried we would be made to wait in the he regular Q!
Glad to hear that me and DD can go FP and DH can wait with DD2 and then he can go as the rider swap, so it should make the whole ride experience a bit quicker, hopefully!
