Ridemax?

OK - always something new to learn here ...
Has anyone used RideMax? How does it compare to the Unofficial Guide on-line service and/or book? Have you used both?

Do I need to be stressing about this at all since we are going mid January???

We just returned from a WDW during Thanksgiving. The parks were extremely busy but thanks to RideMax,our longest wait was about 5 minutes. RideMax,to me,is much superior to the Unofficial Guide because you plug in your info and a plan is made which matches your personal plans. The UG has general info that doesn't take in to account what times you may have dining reservations,etc. With RideMax,click on the plan options link and you can change the scheduled break to fit your touring hours. If you've chosen too many attractions,then RideMax will let you know that and you can schedule longer hours or fewer attractions. This happened to me for an MK day, I added 1/2 hour and it fit.
I will never go to WDW again w/out RideMax-it's the closest thing I've seen to a personalized plan that doesn't cost hundreds of dollars. If you have any questions, PM me, and I'd love to answer them.

Haven't used Ridemax, but have gone mid January! I'd say that as long as your trip doesn't include the MLK weekend, you really don't need a strategy. The best one (and it's free!) would simply to be at a park at opening, and then I can't imagine you'd have ANY trouble doing what you want.

If you are going primarily over MLK, then you might want to consider Ridemax (based on what others can tell you about it), just follow UG, or look at Tour Guide Mike which I think is a great source if you're flexible about where you're going on what days. If that's already set in stone, then I'd probably pass on his site at this late point! Either way, if you go that weekend, try to be early and you still probably won't have many lines!

I haven't used the WDW Ridemax yet, but I used the DL version over the summer and it was truly excellent. I believe it probably reduced my wait times, but it also was fun to be able to try out a bunch of "what if" scenarios when I was planning the trip.

I just downloaded it and it's very user friendly to install and activate, I am trying my first itinerary MK on Dec 15th.

I'll post how well it worked.

Note that it doesn't include SHOWS, only rides...so you have to figure out things like when to see the parades and the new Nemo show at AK yourself. Also...they don't do Sundays, so you have to use the previous Saturday for Sunday so when you make plans make sure you write in the Sunday day/date to keep the days straight because it will print Saturday and Saturday's date.

We used Ridemax for DL this past summer. We were always ahead of schedule and when we would walk past the rides it told us to do earlier they were packed. Ridemax worked very well for us.

Well so far I'm impressed, I had some rough itineraries in my mind for different days, I plugged in my time allotted (ie) opening until our lunch at le Cellier at 1:50pm and the things I would like to do. It gave us an itinerary including all the attractions we wanted to see, what order to do them, the estimated wait time at each, when and where to get fast passes etc... I will let you all know how it worked out in reality.

There is an explanation at the site, something about they are a small family run company and have not done the research/investigation into wait times on sundays yet.

We went at this time one year and the MK was so crowded WDW wouldn't allow anymore guests in the park. Sometimes huge conferences are scheduled during "down" times. That's why I wouldn't take a chance. RideMax only costs a few dollars and with the thousands we spend on our WDW trips,I want to maximize the experience!!
The parades are easy to fit into the schedule-just use the planning option to schedule another break in your day. The shows are easy too because the showtimes are set. RideMax is great for those interested in ridesat WDW. This is where most of the lines are found.
