I have never used Ridemax for WDW because I know how to work the crowds to my adavantage after going so many times, so it has never been worth the cost.

But, being our first time in DL with only 2.5 days during the week of the AP lift (August 23, 24, and 25th) I am trying to decide if Ridemax is worth the money?

Has anyone used it as a firstimer? Was it worth the cost?

On my first trip to WDW RM was very useful. It allowed be to "test drive" different touring strategies and get a feel for park patterns. For me the cost is minimal compared to other costs for a Disney trip. So for me it is totally worth it.

Thanks! I think I am going to do it. It is only $15.00, and I think that is worth peace of mind. I just don't want to be in the park spinning our wheels because I *think* I know what I am doing. :rotfl:

I'm going on my 4th trip to DLR in November and I plan on buying ridemax for the 3rd time. We never follow the plans to a T but I figure it is better to have a plan we don't need than to need a plan and not have it.

I think that's the way I plan on using it. I can probably get a little commando myself and probably wouldn't mind following it exactly, but knowing the people I am going with, I am planning on more using the software as a way to formulate a plan of attack on when to ride certain rides during the day. I'll create tentative "schedules" using the software but I'll reserve the right to adapt and change the plans on the fly.

Well, the reason I have never used RideMax is because i feel that you miss out on some of the disney magic. You may miss the little things. If you can get around WDW no problem then I think you should be able to get around DLR pretty easy. Yes its different but if you look at maps & read all the tips and tricks on here, then i think you will have a more enjoyable trip than if you were on a time schedual.

Just my thoughts ;)

My family and I just returned from our first trip to DLR last week. I purchased RideMax. Since we had never been to DLR I figured the $15 was worth it even if it only gave me a general idea. I enjoyed playing around with it before our trip. It gave me a very good idea about when to do certain things. We did not follow it minute to minute but used it more as a guideline. The wait times were fairly accurate. I had my iPad with me and was able to change up what we wanted to see several times during the trip. I feel it was worth the money.

Have a great time planning!
