RideMax Users Thread (FAQs Linked in First Post!)

Okay July dates are up so I started playing with our dates --- Question -
DHS closes at 9:00 but ridemax has a boarding Back Lot Tour at 9:03 - What's with that?:confused3

That is when it says to get in line or when you will get on?
Once you are in line, you will ride even if you get in line at 8:59 pm.

Hi all - I started playing with Ridemax yesterday and I think it's pretty good. I've noticed that if I don't try to fill up the day, I often get a long break between lunch and then a few more rides starting around 5 pm or so, but the program never suggests getting a fastpass before the long break. Anybody know why? thanks/

Only once in the 4 days I've calculated does it say to use a fastpass

Could it be that got a FP earlier, and the window isn't open to get another one at the time you take your break?

I have a really weird one. I was just looking at my final RM plans, and our MK morning has us riding Dumbo at 9:02. There's no way to get from the gate to Fantasyland in two minutes! Wonder what's up with that?

If you go at rope drop you will be let into the park before 9 I guess.

You would then have to wait up for Fantasyland to open, which would only mean a 2 minute walk to the ride.

Good point, that must be it. Where exactly is RD at MK?

At MK there is sorta 2 RDs. The first one is at the tunnels that are under the railroad track. The second is on the spokes of the hub. When we were there we waited in the passageway under the Castle. The first one took place about 10 minutes before the second which was at 9:00. OH don't forget there is also a third RD for ToonTown. It is at 9:45.

OK, I was just thinking about the one at the tunnels under Main Street Station and wondering how in the heck anybody could get to Dumbo in two minutes from there :scared1: I had forgotten about the spokes, so it makes sense now.

That is possible. I was at the Tomorrowland entrance at rope drop, they dropped the rope at exactly 9am, and I was at Space Mtn in 1 min!

I've used Ridemax twice for Disneyland so I am looking forward to trying it for WDW. It sure looks different though - so much more to tweek!;)

Just an FYI-- I think they only let so many people under the castle for that rope drop. We were trying to get there (but there were six of us, and we're slow!) and they roped it off before we got there, we had to take the spoke on the left and make an immediate right after RD to get to dumbo. We still got there in time to have no wait, though. Just have a back-up plan if you aren't let under the castle! --Katie

We just got back and used Ridemax for the first time and it was awesome!!! We used it all but the last day and added in meals and a few breaks. It worked like a charm! Each day we found ourselves 30-60 min ahead of schedule by lunch time. We tended to keep going with the plan early, though sometimes would ride a ride a second time with the extra time. We were a group of 6 with three kids. I used slow plan at Epcot and MK and normal at AK and DHS. We got most ahead on the slow plan, but liked that there was a little less zig zagging at the parks (most appreciated by grandma).

Everyone was totally sold on Ridemax though. When following the plans, we never waited more than 10 min for anything. Fastpass was fabulous! We found in the evenings we were often able to switch things up a little bit and repeat some favorites. Ridemax was most key in the morning. We didnt feel rushed following the plans like my DH worried about.

Another satisfied customer!!:woohoo:

We are visiting the world 5/28 - 6/4. Upon finalizing my plans I thought I should probably check the disney site and see if the park hours have changed any. Well they have and Ridemax has not changed them yet. I emailed them so hopefully they will change soon? Anyone have any experience with requesting anything from them? Anyhoo, just thought I would let you know DHS has extended their hours just about every night 5/28-6/4 and added a 10:30p fantasmic show to their already 9p fantasmic show scheduled on 3 of the nights. Just thought I would give a heads up if anyone was going during this time. :wizard:

Holy cow Ridemax is fast! I emailed them to let them know about the park hour changes @ 10:28a and they emailed me back saying they made all the changes @ 11:47a. Now that's service!:woohoo:

I am considering purchasing Ridemax for my upcoming September trip. I understand that I should wait until about 80 days out to do so.

If I understand the program, it organizes your ride preferences into an itinerary that minimizes wait times. I would also really like a MAP, with the itinerary numbered so I can follow it. Does it provide anything like that?
