Ridemax grrrrrrr

So I just purchased Ridmax and my dates are not available yet. (Which I knew Disneyland didn't had not put on their site yet) But I didn't know I couldn't even look at the software until I had them.. Can I put in "fake dates" and then change it later.. at least I can get familiar with the program? Or am I stuck to my dates I originally put in?

Yes, you can just put it fake dates just to get an idea of the itinerary.
I purchased RideMax over a month ago, but my dates were just put in the system this week. In the meantime, I just played around with the available to dates to see what they would suggest.

did it change it drastically once you had your actualy dates? And your going in 2 week? And they just put your dates in??

Yes, they just put them up about two weeks before I leave. I think it took a week or two for them to update their calendar once Disney put up the hours.

My itineraries did not change drastically. However, since you are going in Sept, yours might be quiet different due to shorter hours and rehabs.

You could do fake itineraries now to get an idea of what rides you want to do each day, print them out and then use this to help you enter everything quickly into Ridemax when your dates are available.

I know the waiting is frustrating , but once my dates came out it did not take much time to rerun the itineraries.

And even if they did have your dates now, RM still highly recommends you run your itineraries as close to departure as possible because they update information along the way. So you would just have to run them again anyways.

I highly recommend playing around with the Ridemax software, making different plans. It'll give you a good idea of what to expect when at Disneyland. For us, it's not so much the individual plans that we value from Ridemax as the general knowledge we get by playing with the software. You'll learn the line patterns and roughly how long lines get for certain rides. This knowledge helps a lot if you're in the park and decide to deviate from your plan. On our last trip one of the children loved Autopia and wanted to go back on it again numerous times. Having the general knowledge we had we knew roughly when to make return visits to the ride even without the Ridemax software in front of us.

I have used ridemax many times, and honestly I don't think there is THAT much of a difference between dates. It seems a Monday is a Monday either in June or August. I always run plan, copy the whole thing then paste it into a word document so I can look at it later. Then when I get my "real" dates I look back and honestly there isn't much difference.

But itineraries can and will change a lot if park hours change and/or rides are down or up between different dates.
