Ridemax and hopping between parks?

I'm trying to make a plan for next week with Ridemax. I've used it before for Disney World, but I'm a noob to DL. Can anyone offer advice how to maximize my touring with Ridemax if we want to hop between DL and DCA?

Also, we arrive on Monday around noon. Does anyone have any advice about where we should go? We'd like to do a few things, but in a more laid back style to get a feel of the place. Thanks in advance!

You can make up several plans and use which one you feel like at the time. Or plan for DL in the morning, then do a plan for DCA starting with noon or whenever you think you will go. Then do another plan for DL. You can schedule breaks in there too. Just remember to always grab a FP before you leave each park and one when you get to the new park.

On your first day when you arrive at noon I would go to either fast loaders at DL or head over to DCA. Just don't try to get on a bunch of Fantasyland rides because the lines will be long by then. Some ideas: POTC, HM, maybe take a train ride around the park. Walk down Main Street and browse. Go ahead a get a FP for something you can come back to it later. Pick somewhere to eat a lunch or snack. At DCA we found the line at TSMM to be slightly shorter around 2pm, so maybe head over there then. Or maybe your first half day you want to focus on characters.

You need to make a Ridemax plan for each time you hop. If you want to start in DL, go to DCA in the afternoon, and then return to DL, you need three plans. Just adjust the start and end times. (For example, your am plan for DL will start at park opening and have a last ride at 12:30. Then make a DCA plan starting at 1:00...and ending whenever you plan to move back to DL.) Play around with it!

When I was doing a ride plan for our trip in March, I noticed a large break in DLR between the hours of 12 and 6 or 7 (it depended on my various plans.) I just decided to use that as a "built-in" time to hop to DCA. I then ran a separate plan for DCA for that time period. It seemed to work better than having 3 separate plans, b/c then I already had my Fastpasses in the morning that were scheduled to be used in the evening. If you have a plan that is for only in the evening, it will assume that you are just getting in the parks for the day and therefore don't have any FP's accumulated for evening use. Another option, if you don't want to run 2 separate plans for DLR for the same day, is to enter that you want to take a LOOOONG break in the afternoon. Then you can go to DCA during the break without breaking stride in your touring plan and FP usage.

CLEAR AS MUD? LOL!
