so i havent been to dl in years. lately what is the average wait time for rides on a busy season, such as june? i know all days will vary but what is about average? the worst when i have ever gone, was christmas, wheeeeweee! that was busy busy busy! LOL. but whats the wait usualy like for rides in june? thanks

On a Saturday in June during the middle of the day when the lines are the worst I'd estimate the following wait times:

Space Mountain: 55-70 minutes
Splash Mountain: 2 hours
Indiana Jones: 55-70 minutes
Thunder Mountain: 35-45 minutes
Peter Pan: 55-65 minutes
Matterhorn: 40-50 minutes

fast passes will be your friend. I would say get in line for one ride, and have a runner get fast passes for another ride, when the time is up for the one ride, run to get more fast passes and so forth.

Ditto what TeaTime said. If you follow Hydroguy's FastPass tips and tricks, and collect FPs as soon as they become available in the morning, you can use that time to ride all those non-FP rides that get so much busier later in the day. Then you can come back later after a break with a fistful of 4, 6, or more FPs, and ride all the FP rides right in a row.

If you follow the FP tips, you can do DL on the busiest day and never have to wait in a line for more than 15 minutes, 30 max. I know; we were in DL on some of the busiest days they ever had-- Spring break 2008, when spring break fell on the week after Easter. You have to be willing to get up early, though, follow a simple plan for at least the first few hours, and collect FPs. It works like a charm! :thumbsup2

Ditto the above about fastpass use.

Most guests do not know that you can use your fastpasses past the end of your fastpass window. We spent all day collecting fastpasses on our way to a standby line (those with no FP available) and had plenty of FP rides to keep us entertained during the evening when it was more crowded.

Be prepared to wait in some longer lines in June, unfortuantely. We're in school until June 17th but I bet there are many schools that are out in May.

so how about during the weekday? is it a little less busy? we are going in the middle of the week, i was thinkin it may be a little better?

Yep, weekdays are usually better than weekends, although midsummer it's not as much of a difference, because there are more families on vacation rather than locals with their APs heading to DL after work. Early June is better than late June, because school's not yet out for some schools.

I went a few years ago on a late June weekday during the 50th Anniversary and the lines were approx. (the highest estimated wait times)

Indy-60 min
Splash-60 min
Peter Pan- 45 min
Pirates- 20 min

Those are just guesses, based on experience and other reports.

Space was just about to open so I don't really have an good estimation, but assuming late June has about the same crowd size as mid-August, Space's line is about the same as Indy and Splash. Splash's line can get even bigger if the weather is really warm. I'll be going in late June this year on a Thursday and Friday. I can't wait! :yay:

Get Space Mountain/Splash Mountain fast passes early in the day if you can. We went to Space Mtn. to get fastpasses at 8:00 on a Saturday (with a 12 o'clock closing) and they were all 'sold out' for the day.

During the summer, from what I remember, Splash Mountain fp's can 'sell out' before 5pm.

thanks everyone!:) thats about what i was expecting. we are pretty likely going in early to mid june. there is a possibility we may go in late may, but it depends, usualy the flight is cheapest compared to every month of the year, in june. but i have seen low rates for may as well. but i wanted an idea of just how long it may be in june. thats not too bad. it was WAYYY worse at xmas when i went years back. lol
