Just a quick question about the ride vehicles at DLR. I'm a larger person and I'm concerned about the size of the rides. Some of the rides at WDW have test vehicles. It was very nice to try out the size of the car before I had to get in the ride in front of other people.

Do any of the rides at DL and DCA have test vehicles? :confused3

Thanks!!

The only two I can think of is Dumbo and the Tea Cups. However, those are more for photo ops that anything else.

I was thinking there was one outside of Monster's Inc at DCA? I can't quite remember but I was thinking i might have seen one there. I never thought of them as being "test vehicles" (i just assumed they were for photo ops too) but that's a great idea!

Oh yeah, totally forgot about that one too.

I don't think you'll have any problems. IMO, most rides have plenty of room in the width department. It's leg room that can be lacking if you are tall.

Riding in different cars in BTMRR have more room then others. But I am blanking if front is more or less leg room.

Pooh Ride definately more leg room in the front of the 3 rows, bubbles out more.

Thanks for the info. I didn't have problems at WDW but I'm still a bit nervous and you've all helped a great deal. Thanks!!

I am 6'5" and 340 lbs. I can't fit in the Maliboomer (sp?) but everything else except the FRONT of the space mountain car.

I was placed in the front and was able to sit down (I used the trick of crossing your feet before you sit down) barely. I had my knees wedged HARD against the 'bulkhead'. It was actually very funny because i was grunting with every bump and turn (my cousin thought it was hilarious). The best part was the end, I couldn't stand up. I was completely wedged in. I started to laugh, uncontrollably. The CM didn't know what to do. My cousin was laughing to. The CM kept saying is there anything she could do. It seemed to last 5 minutes, but i think it was only about 30 seconds. I finally was able to stand up, but I was laughing sooooo hard. As I went to step out of the car I stepped to low and, you guessed it, I fell flat on the deck. This caused my cousin and me to laugh even harder. The poor CM was saying are you OK and (to her credit) somehow was NOT laughing. It was actually the best memory of that trip.

We went back a few hours later and this time I went in the second row and I fit no problem. The ride itself was much more enjoyable.
