Ride refurb question...

Hi everyone! I have a quick question. I read on this site that Pirates and California Screamin' are going to be closed during our visit (Oct 3-7) but they aren't listed as closed on Disneyland.com Does anyone happen to know if they will really be closed? Thanks!

I haven't seen any info on new closures for October. I'm curious about this too.

It's normal not to have refurb info from Disney until 3 weeks before, and even then it still sometimes changes.

Both pirates and screaming have been down at this time of year in the past. I saw someone post something about that a while ago...I think that they were just speculating as to which rides would be down (it was also on one of the crowd websites - maybe tour plans?). Disney has not announced any closers other than the RoA/tom sawyer island and splash mountain for Oct.

If I remember correctly they import the ride closure information from previous years and it doesn't always get updated right away. As of right now neither Pirates or Screamin' is showing as being down for refurb on the Disneyland website during October.

That looks like information from 2015 as PTN won't be running in October and the Disneyland Forever Fireworks end 9/5/16.

When we booked all our stuff ( flights, hotel, etc ) Pirates wasn't listed on refurbs... This was going to be the ONE time we were going to splurge and eat at the Blue Bayou... *sigh* ... well that sucks.

Actually... if I do a reservation serach for Oct 25th 2016 at Blue Bayou, it comes up fine with times... could this list be wrong?

Pirates is open all through Halloween Time. The OP was on a third party site which had not been updated for this year.
