We are going on our first WDW family vacation in August and I'm wondering if I will be able to take my 2 year old with me on most rides or will her and I be "waiting" most of the time while DH and DSS & DS are riding the rides??

For examply the buzz light year ride at MK says the "carrier" is for two people, would they allow me and her in a cart AND my 5 year old?? Or would her and I be considered "2" people, even though she won't play the game while riding?

Any knowledge on this subject is greatly appreciated. DH thinks she is to young to go and we should wait a few years, but with the great deal they had going, plus she's FREE :cool1: we are going. I'm just hoping there are rides that her and I will be able to go on together as well.

For Buzz, she will probably want her own seat. My 3 yr old did on his first trip. You can hold her though, and let her aim your gun while your son uses the other gun. She will be able to go on most all of the rides with you. The ones that she can't ride are probably a bit too scary for her anyway.

Our first trip was last August. I have a 6 & 2 year old. Last year I was able to take my 2 yr old on mostly everything. My husband went with our older son on all the rides and I sat with our 2 year old on all the rides, so it worked out for us. We did have to do the baby swap thing on the star wars ride, but that was really easy.... We all waited in line. When it was our turn I went w/ my older son while hubby waited w/ our 2 yr old. When our ride was finished my husband then went w/ our older son on the ride. Anything u cant take ur 2yr old on should have a baby swap option.

We also got one of those teddy bear (leashes) for our 2 yr old. He wore the teddy bear around his back and it was attached to a leash, for lack of a better word, and he loved it. He felt like such a big boy walking on his own. I was affraid of what people would think about us walking around w/ this leash thing but no one even looked twice. I saw alot of people using them and saftey is first. We ofcourse took stroller for both kids as well. We had a great time. I was a little affraid that our 2 year old was too young for Disney, but he wasnt. He loved it and has been asking to go back all year (so we r going again this august). Have a nice trip!

We went 2 adults and the little guy (10 months) on the Buzz Lightyear ride. I didn't really get to do any shooting as he played with my gun, but we fit just fine.

:)

In fact, every ride we went on, we did 3 (2 adults, 1 baby on my lap).

We took our two year old last summer and there was lots for him to do that he loved. Re rides; at MK the favourites were; It's A Small World, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Magic Carpets, Pirate Ride, Barnstormer rollar coaster, Winnie the Pooh ride. At AK the favourites were; the Dinosaur ride like Dumbo. At Epcot the favourites were; Nemo ride.
