We will be at DLP November 6th and 7th. We have always done rope drop at WDW and DL and are planning to do the same in France. We want to see and do as much as possible. There are so many touring plans for the US parks but I am having a hard time finding any for DLP. Can any body help with a game plan for the day and tell me what rides we should be doing first?

Are you staying in an onsite hotel? If so Extra Magic Hours are in the Studios on those days and will affect your plans. They are usually in the main park, but change to the Studios at the beginning of November while they put all the Christmas decorations up.

No not staying on site

You won't need an extensive ride plan for DLP and both parks are very close together so you can park hop easily.

Be at the gates for at least 30 mins before opening time - both parks advertise to open at 10, but will open the gates at 9:30.

Studios

Crush has some of the highest queue times with no fast pass so if you want to do this I'd suggest being there early and going there first.

Ratatoullie - Another very popular ride. You might be lucky to get fast pass for this but they go very quickly. If you are happy to ride single rider you can be on in 5 minutes as the Rats hold 6 people so will take groups of 4 from the FP and normal line. We use it every time.

Mickey and the Magician - newest show and very popular. People will start to queue 30 mins or more before, but beware - some shows get cancelled at short notice so don't be too disappointed or waste time on this if you have other things to want to do.

Cinemagique - probably my favourite show in the Studios - make time to see this if you can.

Disneyland Park -
I can't think of anything here that will have massive queues as BTM is closed for refurb.
Some general tips: Make good use of the arcades either side of Main St if the weather is poor. Liberty Arcade on the left will lead you into Frontierland.

Castle - visit the dragon under the castle and the story of Sleeping Beauty upstairs

Fantasyland - you'll find Casey Jnr train and the Storyboats past Alice's maze (these often get missed as they're tucked away)

Parade - I like to watch this from the Hub in front of the Castle, another good spot is in front of Small World in Fantasyland.

Peter Pan can get long queues - try to fast pass if you can - has just been re-furbished and looks great

Dreams - show that will be on in front of the castle at whatever park closing time is - please don't miss this, it's spectacular

You can take a wander inside the Disneyland Hotel and upstairs to the shop and Café Fantasia for a warm up - it's really lovely inside.

Thanks so much!!! Lots of helpful info!

The most hideous queues are for Princess M&G, Crush's coaster, Ratatouille and Peter Pan's Flight, and Meet Mickey. Space mountain hovers around 40 mins, as does Pirates and Indiana Jones. Single rider on Crush is often almost the same as the main queue and there is no fastpass. I would recommend you do it more like DL than WDW, pick your fast pass ride, run over there to get your FP time card and then hit your second choice ride to minimise queue time. As with the other parks the best way to do the more popular rides that aren't FP is to do them during the parade. DS and I did Pirates of the Caribbean twice in 20 mins during the parade last Friday.

Hope this helps.
