Help! I just made plans to go to DLP as a day trip from Paris on Tuesday. I know that i should arrive no later than 9:30 (staying onsite is not an option), but I am pretty clueless as to the best ride order to avoid the worst of the crowds. It is only myself and my DD13 going, and she will ride anything. We have been to WDW several times but never DLP, and we are not going to the Studios. Also, I already have purchased our tickets.

Which rides should we ride/get fastpasses for first? I know that our must dos are Pirates, Phantom Manor, Indiana Jones, and Big Thunder. Also the dragon in the castle, and perhaps a ride or 2 in Fantasyland. Did I overlook anything?

Thank you for your help! I'm going crazy right now -- we fly from the US to Paris tomorrow!!!

I wouldn't expect it to be too busy for you, I think BTMR and Indiana jones of the rides you listed are the only fast pass rides, you may want to ride space mountain and maybe Buzz also but I wouldn't expect lines to be bad. Worst lines I find are for Autopia and princess Pavilion, other than those I wouldn't expect much wait for a midweek trip, perhaps head to BTMR first thing then to either pirates or phantom Manor, but I really don't think you will struggle

:thumbsup2

Peter Pan also has a Fast Pass ticket, so worth collecting when you head for Pirates (they're in very close proximity).

Have a fantastic time :goodvibes

Also, don't forget that if you really want to try and fit in as much as possible, that once the beggining of your fast-pass ticket starts you can collect one before using it, this helps us getting on major rides as we plan around it.

Example:

Indiana Jones

Entry Between: 10:30am - 11:00am

Grab your ticket for Big Thunder Mountain at 10:30am, then go to Indiana Jones... a lot of people think that you can't get another ticket till 11:00am but it's in-fact the start time.

I will be there Tuesday as well in my minnie hat. Last time I took our tickets and got FP for BTMR, while DH ran off to do Space Mountain as I didn't like it. We are staying onsite, but plan to do BTMR , Pirates and phantom manor first things. Enjoy your trip.

I'm not aware of any holidays this week so the park should be pretty quiet. I've seen a few pictures on Twitter of really short wait times of around 5-15 minutes for even the bigger rides.

If you only have one day I would probably try and work my way around the park in order. So I would start by heading to BTM to pick up a fastpass and ride it if the queues are short. You can then to Phantom Manor and maybe even the riverboat if you have time. You can then head round to Adventureland, pick up a fastpass for Indiana Jones if needed and explore the rest of the area/go on Pirates while you wait. Then the same process for Fastasyland (fastpass for Peter Pan) and Discoveryland (fastpasses for Buzz, Space Mountain and Star Tours). Dumbo might be tricky as the queues are long pretty much every day.

Will you be staying all day? Disney Dreams of Christmas sounds amazing and worth staying for if you can. Plus there's the cavalcade and tree lighting ceremony to try and see if you can.

Have a fab time!

Great advice given :thumbsup2

We'll be there the following Tuesday, hopefully that'll be a quiet week too.

Have a great time :)

If it was me this would be the plan :thumbsup2
  • Arrive by 9.00 and wait at turnstiles
  • Go straight to adventureland and wait at rope drop
  • Ride Indiana Jones
  • Collect FP for BTM
  • Ride Haunted mansion
  • Ride Pirates of the carribean
  • Colllect FP for PP
  • Ride any rides in Fantasyland with waits less than 20 mins
  • Have lunch; Pizzeria Belle Notte is good
  • Ride PP
  • Collect FP for Space Mountain
  • Enjoy Christmas Calvacade and shops
  • Ride SM collect FP for Buzz or Startours
  • Watch Parade
  • Have a hot chocolate and Mickey Brioche
  • Watch tree lighting
  • Ride any other rides as FP's and waits allow.
  • Try to get FP for BTM in the dark!
  • Watch Dreams
  • Go for a nice meal in the Village or at one of the Disney Hotels

Have a great day! I always go with a plan and usually ignore it by lunchtime depending on crowds and weather :thumbsup2
