Hi,
We are planning on going to DL on Aug. 29-30. I wasn't planning on getting the park hopper, but wondering if spending the extra money is worth it. Also, I saw some info on a computer program called Ride Max...wondering if that would be a really helpful tool. It's $15. Thanks for any info!

There are lots of free wait time apps so unless it did something crazy special I don't think I would drop $15 for an app....but I'm a cheapskate when it comes to apps soooo take my opinion for whatever it's worth...:)

As far as the park hopper, yes it is worth it, with both parks being so close hopping is a great way to maximize your attraction experience, its not mandatory, but very convenient.

I would say definitely park hop, if only because the food is better in DCA :lmao:. The parks are so close together it's totally worth it.

The hopper is always worth it at DLR on trips of 2+ days.

Whether RM is worth it depends on the person. I like RM and have used it. It is especially helpful to those less familiar with the parks.

I did park hopper for my upcoming trip (I leave today!!!) since the parks are across a courtyard and I want some flexibility.

I've use RideMax on one of my first trips to Disney Wrold a few years back and it was fine, but I didn't need it after the first trip and it will change if your timing is off. I wonder if they have an app?

I'm using TouringPlans.com Lines app for my trip. I've used it for WDW a few times and worked well. This is my first trip to DL, so I'm hoping it will be equally well.

I used RideMax my last trip to DL. It was well worth the money as it was my first trip there and was used to WDW. The wait times are very different on some of the rides and I was prepared for that.

They have an app but it is paid - I like the pc version better for planning.

Park. Hop.

I think Ridemax is worth it. We have used it and I'm very familiar with the parks. It's a fun program to play with.

Ridemax is great during the busy season(s).

The only downside is that it doesn't help plan around shows, and doesn't allow you to park-hop. You can set break times in the software to accommodate, or create 2 schedules for a single day. Overall, I think it's very useful.
