Ride lockers at Knotts?

I have always kept my small cross-body bag with me at Disney parks, but what do I do on the bigger coasters at Knotts? How many of the rides don't let you bring anything on, and where do you leave your things while riding?

Last time I was at Knotts was the 1980s, when you just left your stuff on the far side of the platform!

When was there two years ago, most of the coasters had wooden cubbies where you put your things on the side of the ride platform. They are open and not secure but you don't really have a choice!

Thanks, sonnyjane. I am OK with the cubbies. We will put DH's wallet in a secure cargo pocket but leave the bag with cheap sunglasses and water bottles.

Each ride is different. Your plan should work great. There are only a few coasters where you can't take a small bag with you. When you can't, a ride operator will place your item in a designated area for you to retrieve when you get off.

I just got back from CA and most of the big rides at Knotts have cubbies sized about 10x10 on the far side of the ride platform. They are very strict about not letting you take bags, sunglasses, cameras, etc. on rides that offer the cubbies. Montezuma's Revenge still just has you place your gear on the far side away from the tracks.

Funny cubby story: A girl on our Xcelerator train had a balloon stuffed halfway into a cubby before riding. For that cubby, they slide a wooden door across to block off your stuff from the alternating train's stuff. So the ride operator was trying very hard to gently push the balloon back. She finally got it in and was so proud of herself. As she slid the door shut, we all heard a loud POP! The whole train burst out laughing. Luckily the family whose balloon popped were good sports about it. They let them ride a second time without waiting as an apology.
