My DH and I be traveling to WDW in Sept with our 3 young children. My DS is 4 and our twin girls will be 3. I am concerned about how we will do rides that will not accomodate a family of 5. For instance, Buzz lightyear only seats 2 in a car. Since our kids are too little to ride by themselves does this mean we will have to have DH take 1 child at a time for 3 different times. Also, do you know what other rides we will have this problem with? Thanks so much!!

Unfortunately, I think child swap is only available on rides with height restrictions. If the ride has no height restrtiction, child swap isn't usually a choice (although if you explain your problem to the CM at the front of the ride, they might be able to work something out for you).

For most of the rides that your little ones will enjoy, you'll be able to fit 3 across. One adult could ride with the 4-year-old and the other with the two 3-year-olds, or some such arrangement. Buzz only has two laser guns, but the bench is plenty wide enough for one adult and two small kids. Same is true for Pooh, Peter Pan, Snow White, etc. Dumbo might be an issue--not sure about that one, but you could ride Aladdin instead for the same effect. My boys are seven and four, and often both want to ride with Mommy. I've done all of the above rides with me between the two of them, or the younger one on my lap and the older beside me. Have fun!

They will let your husband take a child while you wait at front of line, then when he is done you can take one vise versa.Weve done that b4.My 4 yr old daughter is tall enough to ride everthing @ Disneyland.

we have 3 children (ages 9, 4, & 2) and had no problem fitting 3 in any of the rides that didn't have a height requirement. you should have no problem with your kids. buzz lightyear is honestly the only one i can think of that seems to be limited to two people. there is plenty of room for 3, but there are only two laser guns. my DD didn't mind sharing hers with me, so we could beat her older sister :goodvibes

We've been twice with three small children, and I can't remember it ever being an issue at all--any ride that small children and parents go on together has room for 2 kids and one adult.

You will be fine taking three on a ride. We've done it many times and we are not small people. Even Buzz we have taken 4 on. An infant on my lap, me, dh, and ds. Most rides can accomodate more than two on it and if it has a height restriction you can do the baby swap.

This is good to know since we are a family with 3 little ones, too. Thanks for the info everyone.

The only ride that I can think that you may have a problem on is Toy Story Midway Mania. I know there are no lap children allowed and I've seen conflicting reports about how many allowed together.:confused3

We just rode this a couple of weeks ago with a large party where the kids way outnumbered the adults. :scared1: Anyway, I rode with my 1yo son, my 4yo daughter rode with a friend's 4yo son in the same car as us, but facing the opposite direction. Another car held 2 adults and a 1yo on one side and 1 adult, 2yo, and 7yo on the other. There are individual lap bars, but it wasn't an issue for how we rode.

Anything you can ride with the 3yo's can be done with 3 across. I have been taking my dd's as the solo adult since they were 2 and 4 and we never had an issue riding as 3 on anthing.

For Buzz I sat in the middle and did the spinning and the kids sat on the ouside and used the guns. Everything else we just sat 3 across even BTMR and the Barnstormer without a problem. (Barnstormer was a little squishy but doable).

Thanks so much everyone!! I really appreciate all the info and can now relax knowing it is all doable (sp.?)
