DH and the kids will be doing the big slides at BB, but I'd like to do the family raft ride with them. How does it compare to Kali River Rapids? I can do that, but not something like Splash Mountain.

Help!?!?!?

Hi!
I don't ride roller coasters, spinning rides and I can't swim but DW got me to go on this and I loved it. This and the lazy river was the only things I did at BB. We road Teamboat a couple of times that day.

Thanks! I've been telling the kids I'll do it, but all of a sudden I was panicking! Thanks for the reassurance.

Definately try Teamboat Springs! It's a lot of fun. It is kind of similar to Kali, but as a water slide.

Melanie18- Teamboat Springs should be fine for your 4 yr old. Our 4yr old (at the time) nephew rode it last year and loved it!

I'm a real ride chicken. I've never even tried Kali. The only semi-thrill ride I've been on is the teacups. My kids rode teamboat springs and told me it was not a ride for me.

harambe - I just did teamboat last week with my sis and her 3 boys (21,17,6). I love Kali, but am leary of the raft rides since I don't swim and don't like going under water unexpectedly. I really loved teamboat - try as they might  , the big boys couldn't get the raft to tip and there were only a few places where we got wet - there were plenty of handles to hold on to and feel secure in the raft - at the end they stop you and you get out very easily and without having to flip or go under water - that and lazy river are the only water rides this big water chicken has attempted, and it was a lot of fun - I vote give it a try !:smooth:

We went up very high on the sides - four adults and two kids. Also, I ended up going backwards a lot, and we did a bit of rotating. Too bad there isn't a viewing place for this ride, to get a feel for it. Or is there?

The family raft ride at Typhoon Lagoon was much shorter and much more tame.

I hated it. I get motion sick and did not feel well after I got off. It twists and turns a lot, plus goes up and down the side walls a lot. It goes very fast.

I used to be a ride chicken & still cannot do spinners like the Teacups - I love Teamboat Springs. My DH who doesn't like drops like Splash Mountain, also loves Teamboat . IT's a good ride, a little thrilling, but not in a roller coaster way.
I say give it a try. If I remember correctly, there is a spot on the way up where you can see it in action.

I am also prone to motion sickness & had no problems with this at all.

Do it. I had both my Mom and 2 1/2 year old with us when we rode it.

I also get motion sickness and was fine.

We all loved it, especially my 6 year old!
