Space Mountain Ride Pieces Revealed!

Hello again! With the Space Mountain Ride-A-Thon starting tomorrow I thought I'd tell you about 2 new track pieces we've added to the ride:

Flip the Switch!

The switch. The switch does exactly what it says - it has 2 positions that can be switched by double clicking on the arrow, and when you do this the track will switch direction! Each player will see their own switch so if another player switches the track only they will see it - and if you change a track it will only be changed for you.

Opening Locked Doors

The door is another cool addition to your track toolbox, this is a locked door that you will need to open before you can pass through it. How do you open it? See the shape on the door? Double click on the top of the door when the shape is the same as the one on the door - however you need to be close to the door for this to happen. Once it's open you have 30 seconds to get through before the door closes. If you get to the door before it opens you will be kicked off the track! And the door is just like the switch - you are the only one who can open your door!

When the symbols on the door match, double click the top of the door to open it.

Why are we charging for the Ride-A-Thon? Well, we have a good reason and I know you're curious but you will have to wait until next week to find out more.

Yeah, I'll pay too. Those new pieces are going to be cool, I can't wait! I'm itching to ride it already!

I really do not consider this an up date to the rideathon. It is an update on the new ride pieces. But no where in his update does he give any NEW information about the rideathon-nothing.

How much?
What do you get each day?
Can we got through muliple times?
Are they tradable?

so on. It was great to see the new items but where is there an update on this weekends event

3 words come to my mind with the new stuff coming out and they are... SO STINKIN' AWESOME! LOL had to get that out. I have a few new ideas now...

They never said those items are the ones being given out for the ride-a-thon prize. They were just telling us about them. Those tems look pretty nice and expensive items to be given out pretty much free unless they make you pay 1,000 credits a ride

Am I the only person who read about these new pieces and thought, "Major road blocks!"? I've been looking forward to the ride-a-thon but now I'm feeling a bit apprehensive. It seems like the doors have the potential for causing log jams on the ride-a-thon due to people going afk, getting knocked off the track and filling up the room.

The new pieces will be really awesome for lower volume rides though! I'm really excited to see them. Did you notice the symbols on the doors are the same as the fireworks icons?

While I do admit the new pieces look neat, I'm with qruthie in my apprehension on how many roadblocks these may cause.

I wish the switch/locked doors were owner instead of user-operated. Or perhaps the pieces had multiple settings.

Sounds like a real hassle to me, I really don't understand...but I'm sure some really creative person will show me exactly why it is cool when they incorporate it into their ride, but it sounds WAY complicated to me.
