Carol-Student of the month is impressive...Student of the Year is AWESOME!! Congrats!!!
Sandi-As long as she has a cell phone you should breathe a little easier.....but I agree with Carol, it'll be the longest 5 hours you've ever spent!
Gail-Have fun on the field trip!
sent a PM with the only guess my sleep deprived memory could recall....I never listened in Mr. Mormon's class...........

well all of you west of NH should be happy to know it's now raining again here!!! I mowed the lawn twice on Sunday/Monday,and it still needs to be done......ah yes, I HAD to fertilize didn't I????

Busy day here for me. Our local Airedale club has it's specialty show tomorrow, so I have LOTS of preparation to do for that. DH and I have to print, colate and stape the catalogs tonight. I have to get baskets (Longaberger, of course;) ) ready for the food table, and get my part of the food ready. Then, of course, I have to get my dog ready too! Duffy is looking great.

We have had cool weather here too, but not much rain. Yesterday it poured in a few spots and stayed dry in others. I was at the MOA in the afternoon. My SIL lives in the same community. It poured at her house and never a drop at the mall! We didn't get any at home either, but DH was out at the new house, and it poured out there too!

Mr. Mormon was a really boring, monotone, shoulda retired 10 years before I had him, kinda teacher. I remember this question form a test in 11th grade........
'If a mole of moles could dig a mole of mole holes how many mole holes did that mole of moles dig?'
Huh?? What??
Let's just say I got a vowel on that test & it wasn't an A:rolleyes:

Phew! That was a very busy 1/2 hour! :)

Good point about the cell phone, Laura. A few years ago, we still had rotary phones in the house. I vowed that I'd never have a digital phone in the house, let alone a cell phone!

Now, I can't imagine life without my cell phone! We're on a family plan with Verizon and have three phones on it. And we use them all the time! It's the only way we could effectively coordinate all the running around me do!

Morning Riddlers!

Had a bad night sleeping. My back was killing me yesterday, and I think it moved to my neck overnight. Already got an IHSEIM so this probably won't be a good day. My DS's last day of class is today, and the school picnic at Kennywood (smaller version of Cedar Point) is tomorrow. At least the weather is supposed to be 74 and sunny tomorrow.

Carol - Tell Matt HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Sandi - I agree w/ Lars as far as her having a cell phone. Does she have one? I hope she has a lot of CD's too since that trip is a long boring one.

Why didn't you want a digital phone in the house, Bernie?

You're Mr. Techno Geek....I would have thought you would have leaped on them in a heartbeat!

Well, what letter was it?? *Stephanie wonders as she frantically runs through the grading system....A, B, C, D, F.....nope...no other vowels....* is this a tennis match????

Our twin niece and nephew graduate tomorrow night. Laura is getting a full ride scholarship to the U of M architetural school and Patrick is going to Minnesota State for civil engineering. SIL and BIL are moaning about having FOUR kids in college at the same time!!! Their oldest is doing the same program as our DS, and their second will graduate next spring from another small Minnesota State University. They were VERY pleased about the full ride scholarship!

Steph - my yard is greener than it has been in years!!!

Good luck tomorrow, Diane! :)

Brother Michael was a very strict young man. A pretty angry fellow. In fact, most of the young Christian Brothers were like that! Cheesh - I wonder why??? ;)

Sorry to hear that your back is acting up, Lorraine......:(

Lars - did the vowel begin w/ the letter I??????????????????? As in IHSEIM!!!!! I seem to get a lot of those here!!!!:(

I have On-Star in my car, and it is the best thing in case you forget your cellphone. I buy so many minutes per year, and have them for emergencies. To make a call is very easy and my kids love being able to talk to whomever, although it always looks strange just talking to the car.

Probably for the same reason my best friend's brother quit the brotherhood after 20 years!!!:p BTW, he is married now!

Steph.......they will also very ncely give you an E here....it's in place of an F....means the same thing.
Diane-A full ride is an awesome thing.....Good Luck toi your niece & nephew tomorrow!

A few cranky nuns at my elementary too.............hmm.........

Lorraine-Feel better **~~PD~~** on the way.......

Happy Birthday to Matt

Safe travels for your dd Ranatra

Good luck with the new management team Bernie

Congrats to your ds and dd Carol

paras - enjoy your field trip and hope your dh has fun at field day

the locker got cleaned out - both the back pack and big sack weren't moving - though I haven't looked in it - Kara came out of the building and I said have everything - she said think so - I sent her back in to double check and they had changed the locker combinations already - guess if something was left - she will get it in late August

still waiting for my grass to dry out so it can be mowed again - maybe by the weekend

I am still living in the stone age here - don't have a cell phone

I was fairly retro for a techno-geek, Gina. :) I still have a little streak that appreciates the old, cludgy way of doing things. :) Although that onstar system looks pretty cool!

Diane - congrats to your DN and DN! Way cool about a full ride for Laura! :)

Not that much of a stone ager Marla....I don't have a cell phone either.....and I consider myself to be pretty much a geek! When I stopped working outside of the home, I gave up my cell phone to save the extra $ each month. Now...I don't miss it. although, the appeal of the Nextel direct-connect has me hoping they come out with a prepaid plan....

Lorraine, hope you feel better soon. Funny On-Star story....one of my g/f has on-star and uses it pretty frequently, whenever on-star doesnt' recognize the number she wants dialed...they call ME!!!

Oh, boy......don't like change, do ya, Bernie! (Do you still have a tube tv in the house, too? :p)

Riddlecon Buddy UPDATE:

as the time is getting closer and closer, I am asking everyone who wants to be a buddy, or have a buddy to let me know so I can start to pair people up.
If you have wants/needs PM me...... :o
