Good morning!!!
We had lots of fun, and several adventures in the past few days. There were clearly signs of a heightened security alert in the city. Our hotel required us to show our room key to get to the elevator area, and they also covered some of the signs in the main lobby area that directed you to the elevators. The hotel was 54 stories and right in Times Square so I can certainly understand it. The alert, combined with the snow earlier in the day seemed to keep things quiet in the area on Friday evening.
It was a snowy ride on Friday and took longer than usual. About an hour into our ride one of the wipers lost its' blade and as it was coming off it jamed the second wiper. He drove about 5 miles with no wipers to get to a rest area and he patched things together.
Schools were closed and we saw kids sledding in Central Park. We had lunch in Rockefeller Center and watched the skaters and then I took a very unglamourous fall on Fifth Avenue!!!
The show was wonderful on Saturday and our ride home uneventful until we had to negotiate our unshoveled driveway! We had about 7 inches here and a few more are expected today.
Whew.....after that I need to catch my breath to think about the riddle.
