DH and I returned from Vegas to Boston back in 1996, on a flight that was 26 hours long......

We were stranded in Milwaukee, or maybe it was Detroit...one of those northern colder than....places....lol....and the plane was deiced 4 times before we left.....

Kim - you really need to "get out of your comfort zone" and ride some "big kids ride"! Vanessa is a coaster fan now... and it all started with a ride on space mountain.

OHHHH I HATE the de-iceing process! One trip it took 1 1/2 hours for us to just get through the de-icing line! It always makes me nervous!

I am in for a meet, as long as it doesn't conflict with our already paid for week at the beach (the only plans we have all summer.) I think an amusement park is a great idea. WDW would be fun but not in the budget, I'm afraid. I would like to do something a one days drive away.

Diane, I can do Ohio. Buffalo, where OK is talking about, would be nearly a days drive. I just don't want to have to fly because of the expense.

I can relate, Carol! Cedar point is a park I have always wanted to go to. It would be a long day's drive for us, but doable in one day.

I DON'T think I will be driving to this one.

Just make sure there is an airport nearby... preferably not Philly... I hear strange things happen at that airport.

TXT, I was disappointed that you weren't in the pic with Bernie and the ladies of the riddle. Where were you?

I'd love to have a summer riddle meet!

I have to run! I'm late getting ready for work, and now I'll have to figure out what to wear since I don't have any smartypants!

Cedar Point is only 2-1/2 or 3 hours for me...........I'd be there!! Actually anywhere in Ohio would be great for me! There are some nice hotels near Cedar Point. They have one fairly new one called Great Bear Lodge that has a water park inside of it! There are some camp grounds there too if any riddlers camp. We used to camp but I just can't get hyped up to sleep on the ground anymore. Whe I wake up after sleeping in a tent I need a shower because I feel damp and hint hint !!!

Olympia is about a 3 hour drive for me... very doable if you let me know enough in advance!

Cedar Point is "472 miles" from me, according to Yahoo maps. They say 7 hours and 16 minutes. I am think more like 9 or 10 hours. Still possible though.

No campground for me, I want a bed. I could go the cabin or rented RV route though, if everyone else is camping.

Lets make this happen.

My only summer plans are a week at the lake in NH (when July flows into August ) ... other than that I can do a weekend away !

Just checked - Cedar point is about an 8 hour drive for us. Definitely an over-nighter!
