Early morning. DS does his private school visit where DD is a senior. She wants no part of him there and has been giving him do's and don'ts all week. If he stands up while being introduced at all school meeting she is going to come over a smack him.

Going with the second grade to Plimouth Plantation tomorrow rain or shine!!! We are supposed to get a nor'easter tomorrow...yay!

Welcome back, Yepod! Did you do a trip report?

Bernie, a wall blowout occurs when they pour concrete into the ICF too fast. A portion of the styrofoam blows out and concrete goes flowing onto the ground. If any of you have watched some of the dream house things on HGTV, they are making an entire house out of ICF on there right now. ICF looks like big styrofoam legos that have rebar inside. After they are filled with concrete, you have an insulated conrete wall with 2 inches of styro on each side. It makes a very warm and energy efficient wall. It also is much stronger than anything else, so is very good to put those heavy logs on.

You will also notice a Peter Pan sticker on my shirt with my name on it! We went on the family magic tour & it was awesome (sorry Snoopy, was that one of your no-no words from your 'can't stand' thread? )

Yesterday I returned from the new place to find they had put up stakes and a "this road to be closed Nov. 11" sign at the end of our driveway! We are getting sewer and water through our old place. That means MAJOR inconvenience all winter!
