College hoops is the biggest game going up here, Diane! We've got a pretty exciiting team this year - we're hoping they go far in the tourney!

Gina - I saw the highlights of the ceremony. Looked pretty neat! Did you go? I see they gave him a new Humvee!!! I think I might get a check for my vacation time when I leave....

I spent the whole weekend doing the hockey tournament! If you asked me how fast a puck was traveling then maybe............

Yes, I DID notice what Syracuse was doing. DH has a masters degree from there, so we do check on it occationally. U of M played poorly yesterday, and lost to Wisconsin, so it might jeopardize their chances of getting into the NCAA unless they win the Big 10 tourney.

This cold is starting to get on my nerves.....it is -39C with the windchill this morning...bleh


I had a nice experience on Saturday though. It was a very nice day....up to +3C. So I went in the woods and feed the birds. They come and eat right out of your hand! On the way out, I saw 2 deer. So I stopped the car to watch them. They were so beautiful. I had two apples in my bag, so I got out of the car, thinking the deer would run. They stayed close though, and came and ate the apples from my hand! These are wild deer, it was so cool! I just love nature

I don't think they were EVER in it, Bernie. They have a pretty good team, but I don't think they led once yesterday.

Does your school do nature trips? I'll bet the kids would love some of the things you enjoy doing!

Just checking our forecast...on Friday, we have something called a "Light Wintery Mix" coming our way.....

Doesn't THAT sound appealing??? YECH!!!

What fun, Mickey! We have a lot of deer out at the new place. They come right up to the house when no one is there. When the workers are there, they stay down in the marsh.

It is clear and COLD here.

Weatherman last night was predicting this would be "the coldest night of the millenium!!!" Sounds impressive til you think its another way of saying its the coldest night in the last 3 years.

I think the car was too frozen to go any faster. pm on the way

I am nursing "workers" hand today! I was helping DH pull and clamp wires Saturday. My right hand has a blister from the screw driver, and I hit a finger on my left hand with the hammer! I just hit the edge of it, so it started to get a huge blood blister. The presure from the blood blister hurt, so I did a little "surgery" on it with DH's jack knife. I bled for 2 days!!! I think that was better than the blood blister though!

I do imagine that AAA and CAA will be very busy this morning, Len!

Lars - that's what I thought when I saw that!! A little bit of everything except for warm sunshine!
