Bernie, sounds like a long day for you. Good luck staying awake today... coffee can be your friend And I hope the all hands meeting is a good one. We have those now and then and usually the big-wigs like to blow some smoke up their.... well like to pat themselves on the back a few times and make themselves feel good. And thanks for passing on the message from Dan. I hope he has a great time there and enjoys meeting up with some great Atlanta folks

Oh my!!!! Gina!!!! How the HECK can someone forget to take vacation?!?!?! Oh wow!!! Well, I'll tell you, I won't be the one to forget taking my vacations (especially if it involves a trip down south )

Diane, I hate when people call like that. I wish I had thought to do that the last time I got a call like that on my cell... I just got two telemarketers calling my cell recently I was not nice to them though.

I think that would bother me a little to see them sell something I gave them, especially if it was NOT used. I wouldn't mind if they bought it from me, but if it was given as a 'gift', I think I would rather know that it went to charity or someone else as a gift.

Diane, that sounds frustrating all you are dealing with. I am just glad that it looks like the property value will remain the same.

Carol, I hope that whatever is wrong with your car will be fixed and not cost much money either.

I see my pants beat me so that is a sign that I should probably get back to work soon. Why is it when you return from vacation is exactly when they hit you up with a huge work load

Bernie - What a nice suprise to get a call from Dan. Looking forward to seeing him at Riddlecon.

Went with DD last night to see "Finding Nemo" - another great Pixar movie. I adore their stuff. Great short again too at the start. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lindsay got to finally launch her rocket at school yesterday. She had been stressing about this last "phase" of this big project and it had been postponed several days due to windy weather. It apparently sailed FAR AND AWAY! She could hardly talk of anything else last night.

Is there a memory drug for kids - dd just came back from the bus stop for the 3rd time this morning - geesh

also reminded her that I was picking her up today - lockers have to be cleaned out today - and since nothing has come home for the year - I am surprised it still shuts

she said oh mom - being picked up at school is sooooo first grade - I said no sooooo first grade is having your mom waiting at your locker not out in the car

Diane, I'm glad that you'll be able to work something out with the city, so that your property value won't drop.

I have to go for a squishy exam this morning. Boy I hate those! I guess I'll take some pain meds before I go. Maybe that will help.

Michael came home yesterday and said that he got an 84% on the project we'd been up until 2am working on, so I guess it was worth it!

Ginny's class is off on a retreat to her teacher's cottage for the day. They spend the day there, walking the boardwalk and meditating and then the priest goes up and does a Mass on the porch. I hope that the rain they're calling for holds off.

Edited to add that I forgot to congratulate Lindsay on her rocket!!! Way to go Bullseye_Girl!!!!!

Bro, the yard sale would bother me. We get hand me downs from a neighbor and I know they don't want things back. If they don't fit DD I ask if they want them. If the don't, I take them to the Help Center. It is a local agency that accepts donated clothes and distrubutes free to the needy.

Gina, I can't believe he could FORGET his vacation!!! I hope you didn't have plans to go anywhere last week and forgot to go????!

As far as the yard sale, if it was just clothes, it probably wouldn't bother me. They may have even forgotten exactly where they got the clothes from and I don't think they are doing anything intentionally to be hurtful. OTOH, if it was something big, like a crib or a car seat that they were selling that I had given to them, then that would bother me. Maybe that's a "double-standard"???But in thinking about it, that is honestly how I feel.

Isn't the end of the school year fun for everyone? I love it, no traffic in the morning or afternoon on my little drive to work.

Sis - we're trying to keep it all in perspective. And their little DD is a real cutie. She calls me Mr. Bernie. She waits at her bedroom window to say good morning to me when I leave for work.
