I just heard a disgruntled driver squeel tires and speed away. Folks just can't believe the "ROAD CLOSED" signs could possibly be true, so when they get down here and find it IS true, they get angry!

We pass alot of Meg's stuff on to a friend of mine's DD. She always asks before she gets rid of anything. I would be ticked about that too Bernie.
Funny story..........
I went to buy my Dad (about 75 y/o at the time) a shirt for Christmas at Marshall Field's one Christmas....it was a pretty expensive shirt...the following June I had a garage sale & my parents came out to help & brought a few things to sell & guess what my Dad had with a .50 price tag on it I said "Hey I just bought you that at Christmas!!" He was really embarassed!! He had a 101 excuses from I forgot to I don't wear long sleeves.........If I buy you something you don't like...RETURN IT it won't hurt my feelings I'd rather you had something you liked.....We still laugh about it!!

Morning Riddle Friends! It is cloudy, windy, cool, going to rain. In other words. Springing here. I'm not complaining because maybe the cool weather will cool the little ones down at school. They were yesterday!

Sent the PM, by the way, and I've been enjoying your stories. Forget a vacation? Heck, I have a countdown at school for mine. Somehow I did forget that 15 school days = 3 weeks, yesterday. Panic time!

I pass a lot of clothes to my sister, and if she sells them at the consignment store-she hands me the money. Usually, she just passes them on to someone else. I really wouldn't care one way or the other, since my goal is to get rid of them! BUT she doesn't live on my street!

Gina - your story about your husband was toooo funny. I think my DH would have been too embarrased to tell me. If I didn't know, I think he would have just kept quiet. I bet if he had a golf day set up he wouldn't have forgotten.

Lars - congrats to your DD!

Diane - glad you took care of the cell phone caller. I can't stand when the phone rings in the middle of the night and it's a stranger. Case in point w/ Bernie the other week.

Bernie - I think your neighbor should have asked you if you wanted the stuff back too. I would think twice before giving her anymore. Maybe next time ask your church if they have a family in need.

You're right, Diane....looks like we'll JUST be missing eachother at the world this summer! This was an impromtu trip (I was just there in February) as I'm REALLY going to escort/tour guide my sister, her husband, my 2 nephews (9 and 12) and my Mom!

Bernie.....re: the clothes thing.....I would be ticked....but.....probably would first let them know how I felt before making any decision about what I would or wouldn't do NEXT time .... if they're selling the stuff after their little one has outgrown it or if it doesn't fit her maybe they just need to have an "awareness" raising conversation. If they need the money they may not see anything wrong with what they're doing (and I probably wouldn't feel AS upset...especially if they're "struggling" economically with a little one). If money ISN'T an issue, then I'd just let them know that I'd be more comfortable if they just let me know if they don't want/need the clothing because I really want to "pass it on" to someone who might NEED it.... I guess I would just hate to see that little girl (who probably tugs at ones heartstrings) miss out on your generosity due to the lack of thoughtfulness on the part of her parents....

Now...to the RIDDLE!!! I think I've got this one (now that I've found my way home)!!!! Have a great day all!
