I missed the party last night and now I have to go to work today.

Tomorrow morning I have to be out early to take a CPR class. I have to take them every one or two years. Depends on what they decide this year. I have been uncertified since June. I HATE taking them.

Today is weigh in at WW, I think I have lost some. Time will tell.

I will try to do my part on getting this up to 150 pages.

LTM - they haven't noticed anything yet. This also must explain how they can walk past the mess in their rooms every day and say "What mess?" to me when I ask them to clean it up!

It goes hand in hand with the dreaded Selective Listening Disease that DS and DD (and DH too  ) seem to have.

My DS's room was driving me nuts. I couldn't get to the window to open and shut the shade. It wasn't bothering him at all. So, I went in and took 5 minutes and straightened it to my liking. He complained that he knew where everything was and he liked it that way (the messy way). I told him TOO BAD.

Selective listening....that's when they never hear you when you're talking TO them but don't miss a thing when you're talking ABOUT them!!!!!

Valerie - I'm taking the exam in 3 weeks and hope to read through the manual at least once.

The first person I knew with SLD was my father! You could be right next to his ear with a megaphone & he wouldn't hear you, but if you went in the kitchen & said something about him he'd hear every word!!!Still true for him to this day!!

another common ailment......DWD - Delaying "what?" Disorder!

the delaying "what"? - commonly used when one actually HEARS what was asked/said....not REALLY liking the statement/question and STALLING for time to come up with the appropriate retort/excuse! Has been diagnosed in the 5th or 6th year and above but is most extremely manifested upon entry into the teen years!

This is also commonly seen in those children suffering from IWM (It Wasn't Me!) disorder. Everyone else was talking in class! Everyone else was jumping on the furniture! etc. etc. etc.
