Here is our current weather warning:

...WINTER STORM WARNING THROUGH NOON FRIDAY...

SNOW WILL AFFECT THE REGION INTO FRIDAY MORNING. STORM TOTALS WILL BE 4 TO 8 INCHES IN COUNTIES ALONG THE PENNSYLVANIA BORDER...AND 6 TO 10 INCHES ELSEWHERE. A LITTLE SLEET COULD MIX IN AROUND METRO WASHINGTON AND BALTIMORE. IF THIS OCCURS...SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WOULD BE HELD DOWN A BIT.

AVOID TRAVEL TONIGHT AND EARLY FRIDAY IF POSSIBLE. DRIVING WILL BECOME HAZARDOUS AS SNOW BEGINS TO ACCUMULATE ON ROADWAYS. TEMPERATURES TONIGHT WILL BE IN THE 20S.

YUCK!!

On another note, at my office today there were 3 kinds of subs, potato chips, cheese puffs (my favorite), pretzels, jelly beans, and brownies. I had about 3-4 inches of an Italian cold cut sub and diet soda. No cheese puffs, no brownies, no chips. Hurray for me. Thanks for all of your encouragement.

BTW, I liked both of the links to the baby in the bathtub and the Uranus one.

Beer is definitely worth the points. I imagine I'll have at least one at RiddleCon.

I know.....I'm afraid to get a window that reads "This site has been deemed unacceptable" ;)

Just popping in.....(I almost typed pooping!) Dinner plans got cancelled.....we're meeting to go to the show in about an hour. I'm eating a tuna sandwich - sigh.

Sounds like you guys have had some fun here today.

I am learning to post pictures with the teenagers help. Here are DH and myself at the beach when we had our no kids get away in October. This is before my weight loss.

Boy am I glad I didn't watch that one at work :p

Carol, I think the winter weather advisories are becoming a fact of life here.

Oh and you need to take the last bit off of this http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid53/pca70eecc6ff6fdc4d 83163ebed28746a/fc93468c.jpg.orig.jpg (what I have in bold) and it will work like this

Here is another, I hope. It was taken at University of Delaware, under the stands at the football stadium. I was chaperoning the band, DH was working concessions, and kids had taken off their band jackets because of the heat. Many high school bands were playing at half time with the U of D band.

Here are DS and DD in their band uniforms. DS is a freshman and DD is a junior and the drum major.

I love the band uniforms! Both DH and I were drum majors at our schools. DS is playing his French Horn now. He brought home an order form for a band t-shirt for next year. I asked him if he wanted a shirt, and he said "I guess". Even though he fights me sometimes about quitting, I think deep down he really wants to stick with it.

I'm still at my office (Thursday is usually my late night) but couldn't resist popping in to see what has become of the Jones' and the invasion of the of lime green thongers who took over their home!!!

That was too funny!

Carol, sounds like you did a great job managing the "lunch" meetings.....you sure will have earned the .2 you're looking for next week! Also - a FINE job posting your family photos, they are great!

We haven't started with our SNOW yet, but they are still threatening....later tonight, into tomorrow, and then a miserable weekend weather-wise......maybe another "story" thread will be in order.....it's frightening to think what would hapen if we REALLY let ourselves loose!!!!! I'll be in the city on Sunday....going to Bennihana for lunch and then to see Mamma Mia for my birthday....a gift from my sister and my nieces....so even if the weather's not great, it will STILL be fun I'm sure....

Guess I better get back to some "work" now! Maybe I'll check in on the Jones' later....they're so hard to keep up with!!!

:D

I was in marching band myself in high school! I loved it. I played the flute one year, marching French Horn the next and then I was a field commander (conductor) my last two years.

Sorry you are still at the office LTM, hope you get to go home soon!

managed to convince DH to take us all out for dinner..makes doing dishes much easier :)
You guys must all be watching that reality tv stuff..huh???

Well, catch you all in the morning.

Enjoy dinner Steph!!! Oh I don't know if you said anything on the riddle thread, but did you ever find your furbaby??

Hi everyone!!!

I'm back from DS's band concert. DH took Dylan (my 1st grader) to the elementary school night at the roller rink while I took Matt to his concert.
I had a wonderful afternoon with my BEAUTIFUL new niece!! I just couldn't put her down. She fell asleep in my arms & started to snore:p I can't wait to go visit her again!!
What's everyone else up to tonight??

Just posting between Survivor and ER.

LTM, please, please, please take me with you on Sunday for your birthday!!! I love Benihana, and I would love to see Mamma Mia. I think I have almost worn out my CD from playing it so much in the van.

Hey. I just watched Survivor. No ER tonight so I might go watch the snow panic on the news then read some and go to bed.

I am almost ashamed to admit that I've been watching "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here' but I really am finding it to be HYSTERICAL! I think it's the funniest show on TV!:p :p

Oh man, I'm not even tired tonight so I could have watched the whole thing without falling asleep at the end! I guess I'll be watching the very stupid "I'm a Celebrity..."
