Finally good news on the flooring. One installer called back this morning with a pretty good estimate, and said he could start as early as tomorrow! I'm going to give the other guy until late afternoon to call me back and then make my decision. I called #2 this morning at 9:30 and he said he'd call back "in 30 minutes" with my estimate. It is now almost noon and he hasn't called. Maybe he broke his watch...

So I am having a thought. We may go to my brother's for Easter. Do you think it would be rude to take off Saturday afternoon to go to UMass to tour the campus. It is only 1.5 hours away and I would like DD to see it even if she doesn't want to go. Anyone have any connections to UMass?

No UMass connections other than I played at football and basketball games there when in college. I think it's a great idea to go that weekend since you'll be so close. I wouldn't consider it rude.

Yes. DD doesn't want to go that far away from home but she would love the Marching Band there. She took George Parks's Drum Major Academy and he is just so motivated and enthusiastic. (He is the UMass band director.) I thought if we were close, we should just look at it to get ideas of other schools.

Major tv conflicts here. Right now Rhody is playing an NIT game....and at 8 we'll also have Survivor and American Idol competing. It's weird because in general we don't watch that much tv....

Yes, the second guy finally called. I got fed up with waiting for him, so I went shopping instead. By the time I came home, he had left a message. His price was pretty close to the first person, but I think I just had it in my mind that I was fed up with him not calling, so we went with caller #1.

We have Survivor on right now. I won't switch to AI until the last 2 minutes, because everything before that is just rehash.

Did everyone join OK's NCAA pool? It didn't seem as if there are too many of us in it. I talked my DH into submitting an entry.

There were 2 more letters to the editor in the paper yesterday about the fight at school. These really spoke harshly about the injured boys. If the parents were upset about what my DD said, they will be going ballistic over these 2 newest letters. I bet they won't get a phone call though.

I watched Survivor. I refuse to watch these news shows that are just waiting for war to break out.
