Ricky Martin - It took a while, but he finally did it

NO surprise there! He's actually HUGE outside of the USA. Happy for him, to be out, 100% is a great feeling. No hating here. We all have reasons for waiting for the right time.

He really is bigger in latin America than he's ever been here, and with those heavily Catholic influenced populations, he still has a lot to lose.

I've actually met him twice and he was so nice both times. In Latin America, if word gets out you're rude to your fans, they can turn on you in a second.

Yup! Unfortunately is true,the hypocrisy from some 'religious Catholics' has no limits, but its ok to support a religion that protects pedophiles.

The majority of the Hispanic community were raising hell when he had his kiddos, they started throwing the bible and the religious views.

Good for him, that's what I say. Bit surprised on the comments (not so much here, but elsewhere) that he's doing it for his career.

We've not heard much of him in the UK since She Bang's was released, but I know he's still big in the Spanish speaking countries.

And, yes it didn't come as much of a surprise to me either when I heard the news.

True, his coming out was no surprise, but I look at it this way:

I have lusted after him since the 90s, and I will continue to do so, gay or not. Just because he's come out, doesn't now mean he's going to appear wearing a speedo, and serving me breakfast in bed (a boy can dream). However, I salute his courage to come out, as this is still not a 100% tolerant world. I joked as well with a big "duh" when it was announced, but it still couldn't have been easy.

If Ricky is reading this, I'd be happy to offer any amount of comfort that he may need, in this trying time

Oh and PS... lose the cig... there's SO many better things that can be in your mouth.

I didn't know Ricky Martin was gay. I think I'm the only one, but I didn't know. I pay so little attention to celebs, though.
