Theres no set charge, right, just tipping? I'm not up on rickshaw tipping guidelines. How much for 2 adults, 2 kids from IOA to HRH? Thanks.

:rotfl: Wow, are you just doing that for fun?!

Seriously, I think it's quicker to walk then to settle yourself into the rickshaw. By the time you're in the area that they can pick you up, you're half way to the hotel. And they don't drop you off at the door either. It's got to be a 2 minute ride, not even. $5 would be enough, IMHO.

Edited, plus with 2 kids, I would think one of the kids would be sitting on an adult's lap. If the driver were struggling, I'd tip more, I guess.

Those seats are small, 4 people may be a problem. Take the boat, it's free.

Kids saw it last time and wanted to go but we didn't so this time its a 5 or 6 buck "treat" for them, if we are approached. Something to do once.....

I'd actually like it for walk BACK from IOA to HRH, we'll have plenty of energy heading out in the morning. The boat doesn't seem real handy for HRH so I probably wouldn't bother. Thanks for the info.

We got a rickshaw ride 2 years ago. It was NYE, about 11:30 pm, and the parks were PACKED. We wanted out of US before the crowds let loose, so we left early. The boats were very crowded already so we decided to just walk back to RPR. Ran into a waiting rickshaw driver who practically insisted we "ride"........now we really didnt want to, and we were looking forward to the nice walk. But the driver insisted......so we loaded up on the rickshaw with our family of 5 !!!! It was a highpoint of the night. Rickshaw driver was tearing down the path, with 5 of us cramed in the cart, ringing his bell and yealing for people to get out of the way, while people were diving off the path to get out of the way while they were laughing. He was really hamming it up, and we were laughing the entire trip back to RPR. He did have a hard time getting up the hill to RPR, but I didnt feel bad as he insisted we ride! I would estimate the weight of our family of 5 was approx 500-600 lbs!! I remember my 5 year old son sitting in the front basket or something.
It was a spur of the moment thing that we all remember, and still talk and laugh about to this day! Very fun way to end the NYE night with. We then watched the Universal NYE fireworks show from the beach at RPR........it was a great night, even though US was packed.
BTW........I think I remember giving the Rickshaw driver a $10. bill.........it was the best ride we had been on all day!
Later...........Syndrome

We rode the rickshaw last visit this past April. It is a lot of fun and very fast, in fact faster than the boat as we past the boat by-both left at the same time. We are 2 adults and that was all that could fit, it is a 2 seater. I would think 3 kids or 1 adult and 2 kids could fit as well. They work on tips only...we tipped 5 dollars for the PBH to the park.

For just my wife and I last October I tipped $ 5 each time. First guy barely even pedaled up the last hill to RPR LOL. After HHN it was nice to have the breeze after being packed in with all those people all night.

Just watch yourself as my wife almost got hit in the head with a leaf from one bushes on the side LOL.

We rode the thing one time from HRH to Universal...lol there was this little skinny dude driving...but his calves were huge. There was me, my sons 13, 6 and my 15 year old daughter. I felt so sorry for him he had to stand up to peddle at times, he was great though...very funny we gave him 15.00 because he clowned around with us the whole way.

You can't ride a ricksaw all the way from IOA to HRH. The ricksaws going to HRH & PBH wait between US & HRH. By the time you reach them from US, you've walked 1/2 way to the hotel. From IOA, you've already walked 3/4 of the way. It would be a fun ride to RPR or PBH, but from HRH you barely have time to load up, before you're there. If you plan to dine at one of the other resorts, you may want to consider riding then instead.
