Richmond Airport hotel

When we flew out of Dulles a few years ago my father in law got us a room at a hotel right by the airport that included parking our car for the week and had a shuttle over to the airport. It was so quick and easy.

This time we are flying out of Richmond and I'm hoping to find a hotel that offers a same service. I have no idea what the cost of the one before was since it was a gift. Can anyone sugest a good hotel that will offer this service and what kind of price we might be looking at. I don't want to do it if it's going to be really expensive we'll just use the parking at the airport.

My mom and I stayed one year, back when I was just a recent college grad and didn't have much money to spend - at the Holiday Inn at the Airport. I looked it up on line and they do have Park n' Go.

I was pretty surprised by how many planes they had taking off from that airport - we didn't get much sleep that night!!!! Fortunately, the next night we stayed in Fredericksburg and got a lot of sleep....

First, let me say that flying through RIC compared to IAD is SOOOOOOO easy.

The hotel advertised a park-and-fly service, but we didn't use it so I don't know the cost, if there was one. The reason we didn't use it was the park-and-fly was offered for a week but we were going to be gone for 10 days. We didn't ask about parking longer than 10 days, but perhaps we could have. We parked at the airport instead, and the fee was $7 per day, a bargain compared to IAD.

I'm not sure if the park-and-fly is still offered, but I'm sure a phone call to the hotel would answer the question.

I would also reccomend the Holiday Inn. DH stays there every month when he flies to VA for his Nat'l Guard drills. He also used to work at RIC so knows the area very well. Not so sure about the park and fly, but I know they have a shuttle to the airport.

I looked online and the Holiday Inn had a room with a park and fly package for around $109 I think it was. So that seems to be a good deal considering hte parking at the airport would be about $56. I will just call and check and see if we can park Sun-Sun which is actually 8 days. I'm guessing it will be okay though.
