Anyone remember this? Commercials aired constantly back then. I really hope someone close to him pays tribute and does some sort of biography. I'd love to learn more about his life and the people in it, beyond his past public appearances. He seemed like such a good guy - always kind to fans.

Pretty sure my mom had that at one time.

I'll admit it: I bought the Deal a Meal in a thrift store & used it for a while.
It was pretty hard to put the last card of the day in the sleeve and look
at the empty side, because I was STILL HUNGRY!
It was a good plan but I couldn't stick to it .

Also, I loved Sweatin' to the Oldies

The Deal-A Meal system was the very first merchandise that Richard Simmons made and it actually made him an infomercial star and then he created the Sweating To The Oldies series of videos. Richard then went on to design his own food line called Slimmons which he sold snacks like popcorn and candy bars. Richard Simmons also invented a new Deal-A Meal like system called the Foodmover which was the Deal-A Meal system christened with a different name. My mom and dad had a Sweating To The Oldies tape and I would laugh every time my dad and mom would exercise to it because it was funny
