Richard Petty's Driving Experience

I am thinking of planning this for my dh's b-day when we are there on our trip. Has anyone done this? How long is the drive and what are the costs?

My family gave DFIL the Rookie Experience for his birthday a couple of years ago and he loved it. (We had received a postcard with a $99 rate, so we couldn't go wrong.) I recall that he had to be there around 8:00 in the morning-- there were a number of others there as well. They had a class, then dressed, drove, and had graduation. I think we finished close to noon.

I've done the rookie experience 4 times now and love it more everytime! It's best to not plan anything that day other then the ride, depending on the amount of drivers it could take 2 to 5 hours. Last June I drove and had 17 drivers in my class !! Your DH will have a blast he'll talk about it the whole trip!
