Can I do this: Have DH go to 8:00am class and me and 2 DD go to breakfast at CP at MK and then we meet up with him and possibility be able to take pics of him there. Will they let us in to watch even if we did not arrive with him?

There are grandstands that you can sit in to watch. You do not have to arrive with him. He will love it. I did it last spring and can't wait to do it again some other time. It's the best thing I've ever done at WDW.

I am not sure how they do things at WDW, but my DH did this at Atlanta Motor Speedway. We showed up at least 2 hours after he got there and not only did they let us in, but we were in the pits with him. I would call DWD and ask them. I know there is an entrance to Atlanta Motor Speedway that goes UNDER the track (that was spooky) and straight onto pit road.

My wife is giving this to me for my 59th birthday and was wondering what the exoerience was like. How long did the driving portion last, were you on the track by your self, was the instruction portion good. Also are their any physical limitations with it. I have 2 herinated disc's in my back and hope that this would not be a problem.

Yes, they will. When DH did it, there were several families where Dad went for the beginning, then DW and kids showed up later to watch him drive. No Problem. But just to warn you, I wasn't going to go at all. But at the last minute I changed my mind and went for the whole thing-so glad I did. Wouldn't have missed that look on DH's face for anything! However, we were sans kids-that might make a big difference-the early stages are pretty dull for them.

Now I read that they will shuttle you from the TTC near the kennels to RPDE. However is that service continuous or do they only do that for the first meeting at 8:00? I am trying to figure out how to get from MK to RPDE after we have breakfast at CP. DH will have already arrived in the rental car.

Maleficent, The driving instruction is very good. You are on the track following a "pace" car. It has an instructor driving another stock car. If you drive the right line and keep up with him, then the faster he will let you go. There doesn't seem to be any physical limitations. The only difficulty you may have is climbing in or out of the car through the window.
