Richard Petty Driving Experience?

Hi I'm just wondering if anyone out there has done the "Ride Along" at the Richard Petty Driving Experience?

If so can you tell me a bit about it? Can you make reservations for the ride along or is that a first come first serve type thing? Was there a long line/wait for it? How long does that whole experience take?

I did this a couple of years ago. I did not make a reservation, but I walked right on. I was in and out in way under an hour. It is a simulated qualifying lap which is 3 laps. It was quite an experience and worth every cent.

Thanks DisneyWorldDad! Do you think it will be busy the week of New Years? That's when we'll be going. For part of my fiancee's xmas present I want him to experience it!

I would have to think not. I did it during a time when the parks were really crowded and I was worried that we wouldn't have time to do the things we wanted to do that day because we might have to wait. This was not the case. I would suggest that you be flexible just in case. The facility is really near MK, so you can pop over if you have to.

I don't care what else you get him for Christmas, this will be what he tells everyone he got!
