After seeing my husband's face last night while watching this on the travel channel I thought what a great gift.:teeth:
Then I checked out the price in my passporter book. ouch! $371.00 This is alot of money.
But them started thinking. (Watch out) If my kids helped me we could maybe get this for him for Christmas. If they each gave me $50 dollars towards his gift I would only have to save $171.00 That's no so bad, He really deserves this.

Oh I'm sorry- My question is Have you done this and what are your thoughts on this. Thanks, Gina:yo-yo:

I did the ride along experience and it was worth every penny. Now that was only $90 and you rode with a driver for three laps. I would say that if you wanted to go for it, that it would be great, especially if your husband is a NASCAR fan.

I did the "Rookie" experience about five years ago and it knocked my socks off!!

If you can afford it, let your DH do this because he'll remember forever. They also have a photo package you can buy along w/ the experience.

All I can say is.... DO IT!!!!!

Plus ... wearing that racing jumpsuit & helmet and climbing into an officially regulated NASCAR.... will put him on cloud nine!!

If you have an Orlando Magic Card, they are free you can take a 10% discount to this. I have this planned for my husband next month and can't wait to see his surprised face. Its an anniversary present. (Rookie Experience)

So the ride along thing is $90 for three laps? I guess this is kinda a specialty thing. Does that mean that it costs about $90 for about 3 minutes? I'd love to surprise my trip-mate with this....he would love it. If he did this we would probably have to cut something else- like a water park. Is it worth it?

You are correct, it is (almost) the fastest $90 at WDW. But as the other posters have said, it is a blast. If there is no wait, you can be in and out in about 30 minutes or less. I can't speak for you guys' taste, but for me (selfishly) it was as much fun as a water park. I would probably cut a fancy dinner or 2 instead.

Carol- I do have that card. Thanks so much I love to save money. Let me know how your husband enjoys his ride. I know this is alot of money but he never does anything for himself and I really think he will enjoy this. Gina
