I gave hubby the Rookie Experience last year for his birthday. He did it at WDW speedway this last Sept.
We arrived at the Speedway early on the morning of the 11th. There were 2 other guys in his group. They did a bit of an orintentation with them in a classroom type setting, then they signed some waivers and were outside to get suited up and learn a bit about the cars.
They each drove the laps with just them and the pace car on the course. My hubby was the last driver in his group.
When they are going so fast that the 8 laps go by in a hurry. But, as the look on his face shows...hubby loved it.

The drivers were taken around the track in a van several times to get a feel for they layout, banking, turns, etc.
And when they were done, the staff asked if I wanted to see the track as well. I enjoyed the van tour, hubby thought I should try a ride along, but this was just my speed.
Offical pictures were taken of each driver in front of there car and all strapped into the car as well.
We enjoyed the morning time, we could still hit the parks aftward and mornings are so fresh, it just made it perfect. I think DVC or Disney Club gets a discount on this. But, don't rely on the Richard Petty people to know, they originally told me that I didn't then I found out I did and was able to get the difference refunded.
Look at him go!!!!!!
