Richard Petty Driving experience to close later this year

"A new entrance from the North would need to integrate into the TTC to handle a high volume of traffic, that does not currently exist, so the removal of the speedway may allow for that secondary entrance and parking plaza booths."

I don't get how that makes any sense. the TTC and RPDE are south of the park, not north of it, so how does closing the RPDE allow you to "integrate" the TTC with a North entrance?

Hmmmm...if you've decided that the magic kingdom is just "so awesome"...and you want to cut a roadway to try and hook on to western way to get more turnpike access...

That could allow for a "northern gate"...of sorts.

The north entrance is a rumor, but the intention to extend Floridian Way to Reams Road is a fact, I found mention of it in a permit filed with the South Florida Water Management District in reference to expansion of the cast parking lot off of Reams Road. I do say "intention" because the permit is not specifically for the construction of this, so there is no guarantee the project will happen.

MK is on the north part of the property. Adding a north entrance would allow guests that live north of MK to get to MK easier without having to go to other entrances. They are building new housing and there are plenty of houses already there. So this is a north entrance in the fact thats its a entrance on the northern part of the property.

Yeah... I get that... what doesn't make sense to me is how closing RPDE allows, as the article said, a new north entrance to integrate into the TTC. RPDE and TTC are nowhere near the North end of MK.

They're saying a north entrance to the parking lot and TTC...

Not to the park itself...you're getting hooked on the semantics

I received an email this morning from the Exotic Cars experience that in fact it will be closed as of June 28. They will be doing the experience in Daytona. And that it is related to transportation expansion plans. Such a bummer as the hubby wanted to try a different car this time around but we aren't visiting until September.
