Rice Krispies Treats

I think they're better than pre-packaged Rice Krispy brand and MY homemade ones. I get one every time I go to Disney or DTD.

When you make them, make sure you're using real butter - not margarine. Margarine does not play well with rice krispies.

They're pretty good, but not great. Homemade are much better because you use more butter at home. I buy a couple, and they are good.

I hate the retail ones because they have too much buttery taste. I also will use margarine at home. The less butter the better. It's the marshmallow and rice crispy texture I love. Butter, blergh.

That's one of the most disgusting things I've ever heard . I agree with others though, the regular ones taste much better!

I don't like the taste of peanuts, and I was expecting it to be a normal one... it just happened to be the final one I had left from the snacks I took home from WDW too, so I was so sad! But the normal ones are delicious, and I have actual dreams about eating them!

I prefer homemade but I do like the ones in the park. Yum....now I need one.

Better. They have a homemade taste to em, whereas the regular rice krispie treats have a very ... mass produced taste to them.

My son, who is 33 now, commented a few years ago when I said I would make Rice Krispie treats for his family for when we visited them. He replied - "YOU CAN HOMEMAKE KRISPIE TREATS?!"

I LOVE them ! We watched them make them on Main Street. They looked just like when you make them at home. The ones we bought that day did have more marshmallow than I use but they were great. I prefer the ones without any toppings.

I can't buy them at Disney. They are not the same. I don't know what's wrong with them. They are blegh.

I don't know if they're better or worse than those you'd get pre-made from the grocery store, because I can't imagine buying pre-made rice krispie treats from a place that also sells cereal, marshmallows, and butter.

I just asked my family after reading this and all 4 of us think they're better at Disney. They seem to be denser and not such a sweet flavor as you buy at home. Have to admit I don't tend to make my own so can't compare to that but vs store bought.....we'll take Disney.
