Ribs at Flame Tree BBQ in AK?

Okay, DH & I LOVE ribs! Saucy, fall off the bone style ribs that we can get here in Ontario (shocking, I know, that the good ones are not just in the Southern USA! LOL!!)

Are the ribs at the Flame Tree BBQ in AK really really good??

They are really quite nice. That being said, please keep in mind that FT is not a rib house. However, we like them, look forward to them, and it is a very large meal.

We thought the ribs at Flame Tree were quite good and were amazed at the amount of food that you get. We are looking forward to going there again.

Rib lover here - and found them quite good. Of course not as good as I make!! but quite good. And we could have shared too.

The ribs at Flame Tree are excellent IMO They're not saucy though... they're prepared with a dry rub so they're a little less messy. I believe there is extra BBQ sauce available near the condiments.

My Dh loves the ribs there, you need to be careful though, its open seasonally and we have been there ( Sept) and it was closed. They are good. Its a great location too, there are lots and lots of great places to sit and enjoy them that are quiet and secluded. Its almost like a sit down rest.

Oh yeah - don't sit under a tree - bird bomb's! We sat under a lovely tree and all of a sudden the bomb's were dropping all around us. Just missed our plates by inches - I swear those birds have some kind of betting going on to try to hit your food. We quickly took cover under one of the protected areas and watched as other people learned the hard way too! It was great fun.

Just wondering where your favorite rib places in ontario are.... I live in a small town but might hit one on the way to the airport in Nov.

I like them , not the best ribs I've ever, had but still good. When we go each year, I usually have them.

Just a little off topic. We used to get ribs at Steffie's on Eglinton in Weston. They closed up. Then we discovered Christopher's in Malton at 4 corners. It turned out that those people used to own Stephie's which explained why they tasted just the same. Then they closed. Anyone have any idea where they moved to? We are from a town 300 km. from TO, so we only get there once or twice a year, but we sure do miss those great ribs.
