Can I find ribeye on property anywhere? That is the only steak I like. I sure hope someone says YES.

The Cowboy steak at Shula's is a 20 something ounce bone-in ribeye, but have you tried other steaks? I LOVE NY Strip steaks and they are such a good combo of tender, flavorful, and lean. Anyway, that is at least one place to get one - there may be others.

I have never had a NY strip. I have been looking at the menus but haven't seen a ribeye. but if you recommend a NY strip then I might try it.

I don't think I've ever seen a ribeye (that's what I buy to cook at home) on any menu in WDW.

I believe the majority of restaurants in WDW server NY Strip. The steakhouses will offer more cuts like porterhouse and filet mignon.

If you find one, please let us know where!

I think it depends on the restaurant, sauces they add and how it's cooked.

DH had a NY Strip at LeCellier and said it was just a regular steak. He didn't get the hype. I had the house special filet mignon and it was amazing! DH finished mine along with the delicious mushroom risotto. Then yelled at me for not telling him what the house specialty was!:rotfl2:

I forget that DH doesn't read the menus and plan what he's ordering six months in advance like I do :rotfl:

Brown Derby - Lunch Menu
Coronado Springs - Pepper Market
Grand Floridian Cafe - Dinner Menu
Whispering Canyon Cafe - Dinner Menu

Yachtsman steak house has a ribeye on the menu:thumbsup2

Prime rib is basically the same cut of beef as rib eye, so you may like that as well. Unfortunately the availability of prime rib is shrinking at WDW.

Citricos has a bone in ribeye, which was mighty tasty...

I love steak - and I would not compare a ribeye with NY Strip. Very different cuts of meat. I eat them both, and in terms of steak, I would rank a Filet or the right ribeye prepared on the grill as my favorite, followed by Porterhouse and lastly by NY Strip. Obviously, everyone's opinion will vary but there is a big difference between the various cuts

I have tried the prime rib at Coral Reef and didn't like it. I like the ribeye because it is fattier (flavorful and tender).

I am not a big steak eater. I think I will give the NY strip a try. Thanks for the responses.

Dh is still looking, the ribeye that he had at the Yachtsman was horrible, he had to send it back and get a filet instead

The ribeye used to be my favorite, but I have been really in love with prime rib lately, and you can get that in more places. And I have to say...NY strip is a pretty good piece of meat when it is cooked correctly, even better than a ribeye.

Shula's cowboy ribeye is fantastic! Thats what I always get even though I cannot finish it :rotfl2: My Mom and I ate at YSH in December and the ribeye was not on the menu :guilty:

If you want a great steak, it's hard to go wrong at Shula's. It is one of those restaurants that could compete anywhere -- the Orlando Sentinel has picked it as the best steakhouse in Central Florida at various times.

Belle,

Trust me on this, a NY strip is good, but not nearly as good as a Ribeye. I'm with you all the way.
