It was mentioned on another thread that "mouseketeer" has been replaced in some cases by a new show called "Rhythm Extreme". Anyone know what this show is about and if "mouseketeer" is being fazed out for sure? (I liked it!)
Thanks!!

Rythm Extreme is a percussion group, ala STOMP. Lots of energy, and the kids loved it. We saw them on our 8/21 cruise. It added some welcome variety to the Disney theme of all the other big shows.

I give "Rythum Extreme" a thumbs up, DW and I really enjoyed their show on our 8-21 cruise as well. I got tired just watching these young people perform, their energy level is remarkable.

Hey Andy:

Good to see you back posting on the boards.

I was actually the one that posted that question because we didn't see anything in the Personal Navigator about Who wants to be a Mouseketeer.

We passed on Rhythm Extreme, but more to the point I was use to having the Mouseketeer show in the Walt Disney Theater, but someone else posted that it is now in Studio Sea.

Either way it wasn't listed in the PN as Mouseketeer so we missed it :(

Rythm Extreme is not yet a regular act on the Magic. In addition to the 8/21 cruise, DCL flew them into Galveston, TX on 9/4 so they could board the extended 8/28 Magic cruise since DCL knew we were on board for at least 2 more nights. They performed 2 shows that night. We enjoyed the show but it had limited appeal. The show was about 1 hour which was just long enough - we found it was starting to get a little boring towards the end.

In additional to Rythm Exteme, Michael Harrison was added as a main stage show in the Walt Disney Theater. He did comedy/ventriloquism and was very funny. The last night the repeated the Golden Mickeys.

Thanks for the replies everyone! It will be interesting to see if the show stays (we don't sail until 12-17-05).
Welcome back VerandaMan! I am so excited that you responded to my post (Okay, so I'm a disboard geek!;) ).

In addition to their mainstage show, Rhythm Extreme did a workshop in Rockin' Bar D the next day. DD and I had a great time with the members. It actually ended up being a major highlight of the "10 day" cruise. I'm hoping they will be on the Return Repo Cruise!

We saw Rythm Extreme on the 8/21 cruise. Our family wasn't too thrilled with the show. It just didn't seem to "fit" with the rest of the shows. Just a lot of banging. I guess if you're a fan of "Stomp" it'd be the highlight of your week, but frankly I was disappointed they ditched Mouseketeer for it. Who Wants To Be A Mouseketeer wasn't played at all, not even in Studio Sea.

Just our opinion...

Thanks DuncanLL!

Mouseketeer is one of the things I like the most on the cruise. My step-daugther was also really looking forward to it. She wants so bad to get in the "hot seat".

I knew I wasn't going crazy. I was sure they didn't have it while I was onboard, but then a couple of those "drink of the days" and who knows. ;)
