Rhinestones?

Can anyone tell me about the difference between Tulip rhinestones and Hotfix rhinestones? Will Tulip ones work in the Hotfix setter?

I bought a bunch of Tulip rhinestones, the iron-on kind, with the plan to buy mylar transfer paper so I could set up a design before ironing.. but then I thought that the heat setter would be better. The Tulip setter gets awful reviews.. but will the Hotfix one work with the rhinestones I already have?
