OK I just got off the phone with Disney Dining and the CM I spoke to said that RFC in AK doesn't take the dining plan? When we there a couple weeks ago, I know that the serve asked us if we were on the DDP... Whey would she ask us if they don't take it?

I haven't checked the participating restaurants guide for 2008 yet, because I know that most of the places are still working out contractual issues, but has anyone used the DDP there before? :confused3

To my knowledge, the RFC has never been on the DP.

Wish it was, but sadly its not. Maybe they ask incase the person is under the impression that its a DDP resturant. I'm sure they don't want people being upset with a huge bill, and assuming it was covered.

That's not true in 2003 they took the old Dreammaker gold and silver plans at the the Rainforest in AK. I also believe that when the plans changed (the new DDP came out as well as the premium and platinum plans) that the Rainforest in AK still took the premium and platinum plans, just not the regular dining plan. Maybe the server was asking if you were on the premium plan? Maybe someone that has recently done the premium plan can answer this?

I know they are not on the DDP; however, am I able to make a reservation with Disney Dinning? :confused3

yes you can for both the DTD location and the one in AK

In September I was not allowed to make ADR at RFC. They told me that I had to do that direct. Concierge called the restaurant direct and then handed the phone to me. On other trips I had always made reservations direct with DTD restaurant but I thought maybe Disney could do AK and they told me no they could not.

That is the weirdest thing ever! I swear, it all depends on the CM you talk to! I booked RFC at DTD for our December trip and then I just booked RFC at AK for our March trip, both through Disney Dining! :confused3
