I paid for a good portion of my trip this past January using: QuickRewards, Inbox Dollars, Receipt Pal, Fetch, Coin Out, Swagbucks, Ibotta, Mistplay, Receipt Hog, Rakuten, User Interviews,
Amazon reward panel,
Walmart Customer Spark, Bing & Bing cashback, and then a random LinkedIn survey that paid $5. Some of these apps/websites already had some money/points sitting from prior to planning my trip so I just kicked it into high gear a bit and ended up with over $1,100 to use on my trip.
Mistplay changed over the last year so I redeemed my last gift card with them and said goodbye.
Rakuten is hit or miss but I'll continue to use it where it makes sense.
The receipt apps take a little bit of effort and can get cumbersome. I had lost my groove for a while but once I booked my trip I gained it back again. Right after shopping I scan my receipt to every app. Receipt Hog was new to me last year so once I connected my emails and stores I belong to, it ended up giving me quite a bit of reward points from lots and lots of past purchases plus I earned a lot from hitting milestones so quickly. It's much slower now but still worth it.
IB, SB, and QR take effort for little reward but when/where it made sense I earned from all 3.
Ibotta for me is really not worth it most of the time. I tend to buy store brand (more savings with store brand vs name brand WITH a rebate/coupon/discount/sale). Once in a while I'll find a good deal worth scooping up but not often.
