Here are the rest of my reviews. My family is myself, DH, DS 4, and DD 20months.
Crystal Palace - We ate at this Pooh character meal for breakfast. I hope it becomes a family tradition! The restaurant itself is very nice, lots of windows letting the sunshine in! The characters did a good job making the rounds. Pooh stays in one place, but the line was never too long. I think my DD saw him three times! Tigger hopped up and down with my son. It is a buffet. I was very pleased, and I am usually not a buffet person. The egg dishes were very good, and I loved the granola cereal. I also had a yummy chocolate muffin! I didn't like the breakfast lasagna or the bacon (not crispy enough), but everything else was delicious. One thing to note: We had an 8:20 PS. I was hoping to be done around 9 when the park opened. We had too much fun with the characters and didn't leave until 9:20.
Le Cellier - This is Canada's sit down restaurant. Their focus is steak. We started with the cheese soup because of the good reviews here. It was delicious. I am glad we shared it because it is rich. The bread is very good, but I liked the multi-grain better than the pretzel which gets so much praise. My husband and I both had the filet with mushroom risotto. I loved it. My husband said, "I don't think they should have messed so much with a good piece of steak." Obviously, he would get a plain steak next time. I would go back but not every year. The atmosphere is like any steak house here. Of course, that is not a bad thing if you want a little time away from everything Disney.
Whispering Canyon - We wanted to take the kids here because we ate here a lot on our honeymoon when we stayed at the WL. We had their breakfast skillet, and it was very good. Nobody really liked the gravy, but everything else was eaten. I really liked the pinecone waffles, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The eggs were also very good. My kids loved the pony races. My daughter was still going around when everyone else was finished.
If you don't see the ketchup incident, be sure to ask for ketchup!
Boma - This was our all around favorite restaurant! We tried a little bit of everything which was a lot of fun. I loved the stews, especially the chicken, corn one. I also loved the hummus and flatbreads! Yum! I've been looking for hummus recipes since I have been home. The children's pods are very good. My picky son ate more here than anywhere. He especially liked the macaroni and cheese and p b and j. The desserts were good, but I am probably in the minority in that I didn't think they were great (or maybe I just ate too much of the other food.) I also had an African wine that was good and my DH had an African beer that he liked.
Some of the counter services we liked were Flametree Barbeque in AK (pork sandwiches and baked beans), Columbia Harbor House in MK (fish and chips), and Germany's counter service for brats.
Well, that's about it. I'd be happy to answer any questions. Wish I was going back soon!
