We just came back from being in Disney 4/27-5/3. I so enjoyed reading reviews that I thought I would share. Plus, I always saw people asking about sit down dinners with little ones which I have! Our family includes myself, DH, DS 4, and DD 20 months.

'Ohana - This was our first night meal. It was our only meal when my children were really not themselves. I guess travelling did them in more than being at the parks all day! Anyway, my DH and I enjoyed the food a lot. The bread is the sweet Hawaiian bread and oh, so good! Both my kids liked this! I liked all the appetizers, especially the potstickers. My DH liked the wings. They were a bit spicy for me. I also really liked the vegetables. The meat had a very good flavor, but it was a little dry. However, the peanut dipping sauce is so good it didn't matter! My DS ate 6 shrimp and then fell asleep through the coconut races. For dessert, the caramel and pineapple was very tasty. My son woke up before we finished it and liked it a lot. Our service was okay. Nothing great, nothing horrible.

Sci-Fi Dine In Theater - I almost didn't do this because of the bad reviews. I am so glad we went. Both my kids loved it. We went for lunch. When you first walk into the seating area, it is like you are transferred to a drive in theater. We ordered cheeseburgers based on the reviews. I have to say they were quite good. I thought the fries were good; although, they are not the homemade type. I did not like my chocolate shake. Well, I did drink it though! It had a good chocolaty flavor, but it did not have the texture I like. I am almost sure it came out of a machine. My husband enjoyed the movie clips. I was too busy worrying about my DD climbing over the car seat to watch the clips! She was fine with the booster, and they offered me a highchair, but I thought it would ruin the "car" experience. We will definitely go back for burgers and the atmosphere. We had really good service. It probably helped that we had an 11:05 PS.

Coral Reef - This was the only place we had eaten at before (seven years ago on our honeymoon). We really enjoyed it. We again had an early 5:30 PS. We got there about 5:15 and got one of the last tank side tables. My kids loved it! They especially loved watching the divers! First, we had the best service of our trip. Jack was very attentive and took the time to explain the tank to us. Both my husband and I began with the trio of lettuce. (grown in The Land) It was very good, just lettuce and dressing. I had the vinagarette (sp?) which was delicious. My husband had the blue cheese, and he liked it. I had the mahi and my DH had a snapper special. His was very good. Mine was okay. I didn't like the sauce very well. Without the sauce, I think I would have liked it a lot. For dessert, we had the single best food item on the trip. The Chocolate Wave!! It is heaven! I wish I could have licked my plate. It is a chocolate cake with something yummy inside it, white chocolate ice cream, and a cherry cordial. YUM! My DS had the peanut butter playdough. He loved it. It looks a little bit like peanut butter fudge, but softer. They bring little tools for the child to mold with. It also had sprinkles with Hidden Mickeys in them. He ate it all and wouldn't give me a bite! I would definitely go back but get a different entree. The lady next to me ordered the salad and then the bisque as her entree. I might do that next time.

More reviews later - Crystal Palace, Le Cellier, Whispering Canyon, Boma, and some counter service

Sounds like you had great dining experiences! Thanks so much for the details, I love reading other people's thought's on Disney Dining.
We also enjoy dining at SCI-FI, it takes me back to my youth and Drive-In Theatres. :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your reviews! Almost every place you mention is on our list for December. Our families must have the same taste, huh?

212 days and counting . . . again!

K and K's Mommy,

Thanks for the great reviews. Its lovely when people take the time to share their trip with us.

Thanks for the reviews! I hope to get to Coral Reef sooner or later - the chocolate wave seems incredible!

I'm sure the kids were mesmerized by the tank!

Enjoyed your reviews. SciFi is one place we've never tried. Stick with the burgers, huh? Do they have any cars for parties of two?

The cars seat 6 (3 rows of 2). There was a twosome of "hitchhikers" that joined us about halfway through our meal. They were probably glad when I left with my daughter:) .

One funny note about our experience. We ordered the kids meals on the frisbee. The frisbees had a Mickey sticker on the top that the kids liked. DH thought it seemed a little odd, so he looked through from the other side of the frisbee and found that it was covering up "2001". Apparently they have quite a backlog of frisbees!:p

Thanks for the great reviews!
