We ate there for breakfast in Oct. of 08 and had to wait a really long time to be seated. That being said - We had a great experience while there - Donald even took my son's hand when it was time for the little "party" or whatever it is and lead him over to get an instrument. couldn't ask for more...

But the amount of time we waited - both to get in and then to get our check - and then have it taken care of... well, I'm trying to see if it's gotten any better or if most people have not so great reviews of the place. As I remember - we did enjoy the food.

So - what has your experience with the place been?

If you search, you will see that Donald's breakfast is hugely popular on the Dis ... in fact, it is one of the "it" places at the moment. I think that reputation is deserved, it's one of our favorites.

As far as the wait, we always get the first seating of the day at 8:05 a.m. and have eaten, met characters and been out the door by 9:00 a.m. One trick is to ask for the bill when the server comes to check on you the first time. I can understand that, the later it gets, the more backed up the restaurant gets. It's pretty common at character meals. The earlier your ADR, the better.

LOVE this place! We didnt wait long at all. Got our pic taken and went and sat down. We also get the earliest possible. Love going in when the parks are closed.

We were seated right away! 8:10 reservation.

We loved the characters in the safari outfits.

I keep dreaming about the oatmeal! I think that is the only food I think about from disney :confused3 Ok, maybe the chocolate cake from LeCelliar too.

Tusker House breakfast is the one character breakfast we have done the past 3 trips (June, Dec and this past August). We LOVE it. The food is excellent. The have the usual breakfast suspects like Mickey waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, fruit, and cartloads of pastries and donuts..but they also have some interesting dishes that are excellent. I LOVE the ham at the carving station. The characters are great in their safari gear, the juice and coffee are yummy and it is steps away from the safari. We always start one of our AK days with breakfast at Tusker House before the park opens. :lovestruc

We were there in June 2010. Our ADR time was 9:10am. When we checked in, the hostess said, "We're running behind, you can expect to wait a little while until your table is ready". We probably waited 30 min. to be seated. I found it odd to have to wait that long for such an early ADR. I know 9:10 isn't "early" but early enough for them not to be so far behind. We didn't like it, for other reasons but yes, there was a wait.
