DH and I just read in the Unofficial Guide some lousy reviews for Shutters. We were planning on dining there on our arrival day, but now we're not so sure. We haven't made any ADRs yet, mostly b/c we're not going to the World until Dec, so can't make any until June.

Our question is, has anyone eaten at Shutters and if so, what was it like? We're going to be using the MYW DP and don't want to waste a TS credit if it is not worth it. If it was lousy (or not great), do you have any suggestions for another restaurant outside of the parks, but on the MYW DP?

Thanks for your help!!!

We enjoyed it! No, the food was not as fabulous as Le Cellier but it was pretty good. The service was excellent and it was a very relaxing evening. If you are staying at the CBR I think that it would be totally worth it. If you are staying at another resort, well, that resort might have a better restaurant!

These are things we specifically liked -
Mixed-Green Salad
Caesar Salad
Black Bean Soup
Prime Rib
Jamaican Rotisserie Chicken (my older daughters ADORED this!)
Chocolate cake with Raspberry sauce
French Toast Bread Pudding
And a special mention to the Ice Cream Sandcastle - my younger ones were thrilled with it!

Are you familiar with Applebees? I would say that the food at Shutters was better and the desserts were *much* better!

HTH!

We ate here on our last trip to WDW. We LOVED it. The Black Bean Soup and the Jamaican Chicken were heavenly. DH had a Red Snapper dish that he still raves about. We are staying at CBR (shhh...surprise to DH) in May and I want to eat here sometime that week..

We also really enjoyed this, in fact we ate there twice during our trip, these are some foods that we enjoyed:
*the carribean smuggler-very good!
Spicy Island Wings
Mixed Greens salad - my mom talked about this the whole meal!
Lobster Bisque
Prime Rib
Rib-eye Steak
Jamaican Rotissere Chicken
Oreo Cheesecake
French Toast bread pudding

Hope you have a good time!

Groovy! :) We like Applebees. We'll be staying at the CBR, so that's why we were thinking of eating there. Glad to hear you guys liked it. The review in the UG kind of scared us there. :crazy2:
