Is this a ride or a show? And is it great, good, OK, or AWFUL? Is it worth it to wait in line to go? TIA

We went in January. It was a long movie trailer in a room decorated like an outdoor winter scene. There was also a "robot" white witch that was incorporated into the movie part. I can't remember how long it actually was, but not very... You were then ushered into a tiny, dark hallway (reminded me of walking through the trophy hallway at my old high school) where they had a few props from the movie.

I was REALLY looking forward to this so I was a little disappointed. We happened to get into one of the first shows of the day and had fewer than a dozen people in our group and the prop hallway still seemed crowded.

If there is no wait and there's nothing you want to do more it's worth it. Otherwise, it's definitely not worth waiting for. They have a good photo op OUTSIDE of the attraction along the street.

We went to this just a few days ago. You walk through the wardrobe into a "set" by the lamppost. There is a large movie screen that shows clips from the movie (you stand). My DH said it was like a commercial for the movie. As you exit, there are a few cases with costumes, information, etc. It took about 15 minutes to go through. I would not waste time waiting in line. If you can wlke right it, then sure, give it a try.

I agree with the last poster--what a waste. And my family are big Narnia fans.

We were there when it was CROWDED. By the time everyone was shoved onto the "set", you could see anything if you were under 6'. The trailer was the typical trailer, better to see it sitting at home or in a movie theater.

Taking out the crowds, the set was kind of cool and the props were neat. It would work much better as a walk-though, with a trailer playing on a continuous loop and only 10-20 people allowed through at a time. I can't see why this wouldn't work.

It was kind of cool that it was constantly "snowing" on the outside of the attraction. :thumbsup2

We didn't see the snow. :(

Like others said, it is a movie trailer though it was neat to see on such a large screen. The White Witch makes an appearance, but not having seen the movie, I didn't quite get it!! The scene where you stand to watch the trailer was beautiful, but I am glad we did not have to wait too long to get in and that it wasn't too crowded in the room. It is rather caustraphobic!! There was a snow scene set up outside the "screening" area -- I think where you walk out that you could take a picture in. It was pretty and it really snowed. But I had no camera, hence no picture. It did induce me to buy the DVD when Narnia came out but if you don't make this attraction ... no big loss.

If you happen to be there and have some spare time, go for it. The decor is the best part. It is too small of a space for what they tried to do and the effect is lost I think.
It is one of things you walk out and say is that all there is to it?

I think it's cool, but you have to go into it expecting an exhibit, not a full-blown attraction.

We were extremely disappointed in the Narnia attraction during our visit last week. I thought it would have been a more in-depth behind the scenes look at the making of the film, but you'll learn more on the Disney Channel's Movie Surfers about movies than you will here.

The first thing to do to make this less disappointing is stop calling it an "ATTRACTION".

Its not intended to be considered a "ride" or a "show".

It is just a bit of the set and a couple of costumes and props used in the film.
The "trailer" is used just to set the mood.

Its very much like the little "museum" that you exit thru at the end of the "Backlot Tour" after touring "Catastrophe Canyon".

Previously, the same space "Narnia" is in now, housed a large set reconstructed from filming of "The Haunted Mansion" starring with Eddie Murphy.

MGM's "movie theme" is well-served by such "exhibits" of artifacts from the shooting of films.

Just don't get yourself all worked-up into thinking this is going to be "The Narnia Ride" and you can enjoy a slice of "behind-the-scenes" memorabilia.
:thumbsup2

We went and it was okay. I'd like to go again just to take pictures because the set was very neat--a winter scene that looked real! If you're hot this would be a great place to cool off!

I agree with the others it is neat to see but I would not stand in line for the attraction. The set was just beautiful. I was able to walk right in so felt the time was worth the effort. I am so glad that I did not get in line when there was a 30 minute wait.

We were there last week and went through Narnia, it was during Alberto and the waiting area was covered so that was good. We saw no snow probably because of the rain. We try to do all of the new things everytime we go just so we know for ourselves if we like it. We will probably not go through it again
now that we have seen it and it was just OK for us even with 2 DD Narnia fans.
